656 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1G1

Reviews:

5 stars restaurant! Ordered garlic steam codfish and double cooked pork intestine and many frozen food packs.

A great spot for some lunch here on Broadway! It's definitely a bit pricy, but their bento boxes are quite delicious. One box plus some fried fish sticks was enough portion to fill up two of us, which was quite nice! I highly recommend their fish sticks for sure :)

Easily the best Taiwanese Chicken Nuggets and Taiwanese Braised Beef noodle soup in the city — tender, juicy, succulent — perfectly cooked and seasoned. ??  Awesome taste and good portions.  The Nitro Black Tea  and Nitro Oolong Tea is really refreshing and the nitro bubbles really make the drink feel creamy without the cream. Pineapple Oolong tea is perfect for the summer and doesn’t taste too sweet.

The name of the restaurant initially struck me as Japanese (lunch box) but this place actually serves Taiwanese! We had the deluxe pork rice, the beef noodles and the oyster pancake! Price point is a bit on the medium higher side but it was all delicious! Nice comfortable space. Give it a shot!

I have seen good reviews about this place so I decided to try it. It honestly impressed me!

We ordered the Taiwanese crispy chicken nuggets  (I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life), Hawaiian style fried rice, night market style chicken steak (super tasty), Hakka style stir fry (a bunch of squid) and the oyster pancake (I'm not a fan of sea food in general but this was great). I honestly don't remember the name of the cocktail I had but it was also good, a very fancy presentation.

A great Taiwanese restaurant!
Came here for the dine out Vancouver 2024 menu and was pleasantly surprised!
The short rib was tender and delicious, one of the best I've had. High quality cut and prepare perfectly, I highly recommend it for the extra $10, treat yourself!

Great food for decent value, we ordered one appetizer, entree, and stir fry and it was more than enough for 3 people. Food quality was amazing, especially with their Taiwanese fried chicken. Drinks were delicious as well with a wide selection of teas. Highly recommend the nitro teas. Overall was a great experience.

The best Taiwanese food I've had in Metro Vancouver. Everything tastes authentic, and in some cases, better than what I've had in Taiwan. It's tough finding really good Taiwanese outside of the island, so A.Bento is truly something special.

We’ve been going to A.Bento since they opened. We walk there from Yaletown and back, just to have lunch. It’s that good. The place is nice enough, I only feel cozy when I sit on the bench by the wall… but that’s just the space and I don’t know if anything can be done about it. It’s clean and the service is wonderful. But about the main thing - the food: we always get the crispy chicken nuggets with basil and garlic, we simply can’t live without them! The eggplant (with or without meat) is to die for and so is the fried cabbage. I try not to think “20 bucks for… cabbage?”, I just order it and never regret it. The fried rice is to die for, the noodle soup with brisket and daikon is to die for… Writing this review is making me hungry, I’m going to stop now and run to A.Bento for lunch :)

Great spot for premium taiwanese food. I found the menu interesting and the Beef Noodle tastes totally different from other places

The free parking in the back is a bit weird. You can park but need to walk around the block to enter from the front. When leaving the restaurant you can go out the one-way back door easily.

Great place for sharing plates. I really enjoyed the snacks. The cucumbers are a must and trio (squid, popcorn chicken and fish cake) are a must. Too bad we completely forgot to try the shaved ice here!

Great for anyone who loves Authentic Taiwanese or wants to try it. We went on a weekday and it wasn’t to busy, a couple family. Lost of really good sounding food so it was hard to make a choice. The good we ended up ordering was so good. The waitress was really helpful, we asked what her favourite dishes were and ordered those. The meal came out so quick! I also ordered the Old man tea, a Japanese whisky cocktail and was surprised how good it was, though it did come in a crazy cup that had flowers in it, was a little annoying to drink out of. Other than that we really enjoyed our time here and we will return in the future!

nice decor atmosphere. The herb used in every dish is fresh and authentic.

my favorite spot in vancouver for salty peppery chicken. ITS SO GOOD! Chicken is perfectly fried and tossed in garlic, lots of garlic and perfectly fried basil. You must order it! Spicy beef fried rice is amazing, make sure to eat with housemade hot chilli sauce (also buy a few jars too). Their frozen chicken soup also a good buy for weeknight meals! stir fry clams are a must also. Basically everything on the menu is fantastic.

A great Taiwanese eatery. Ordered the oyster pancake (highly recommended) and Taiwanese salt and basil chicken nuggets - both were delicious, fresh, and tasted authentically Taiwanese. Would come back again and try other dishes on the menu.

High quality Taiwan food! Good service, will or must come back! Recommend, best in town!

I have been to A. Bento twice now, for lunch. I have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and perfectly seasoned. The portions are generous.  Aside from the main entree, the side dishes are wonderful too.

The service is attentive and friendly.

I tried one of their mocktails and it was refreshing and so good! I was told that it has in house made basil syrup and apple soda. Yum!

This place has quickly become my favourite restaurant to go to for lunch.

Very clean, relatively quiet, comfy place for lunch. Even when they're busy the place and staff seem calm. Excellent chicken nuggets.

Great food with great value! Good for work day lunches! Highly recommend their lunch combos!

Great food and service , free parking out back but you need to walk around the block to get in.  Definitely going back

Stopped by for a late lunch and was not disappointed. Place was pretty empty so was sat right away. Menu had lots of tasty options but opted for the spicy beef fried rice. Food was pretty fast and very tasty. I also ordered a Mango frost off of the drink menu which turned out to not be a drink but a dessert. It was super tasty and I want another one already. Now I want to try everything on the menu. Highly recommend.

I think the meal was delicious. I think beef noodle was tender and juicy, Fried rice tastes like Taiwan, and I am surprised that there is Taiwanese Tempura on the fried food platter.

Food was amazing, atmosphere is nice and servers were attentive. Kids meal was also very worth it with popcorn chicken, juice, a rice dish and even a warm cookie. Will definitely be back. I had the sizzling plate, a bit pricey, but flavour and presentation  was there.

Great food we shared appetizer trio, beef fried rice and beef soup we were 3 and extra full. Pleasseee don's skipp the hot sauce.

The food was great and the service was top notch. Portion sizes are generous, even for the kid's meal but makes it very worth the value of the meal. Overall very happy with everything.

Great tasting food that is slightly pricier than other places but it's broadway and also construction all over the place. Parking can be bit of a challenge but they offer 6 dedicated restaurant parking stalls which is nice or else you will have to pay 6 dollars an hour. Good service and modern decor.

Food was great! Really authentic Taiwanese Fare. I had an issue with my order initially and the manager reached out to me and remedied the issue. Highly recommended checking A.Bento for just this attentiveness alone!

Authentic Taiwanese Cuisine, besides how tasty food was, one thing that impressed me was their service. I don’t normally get server checked in with me about food taste or quick response to our need without us asking, I don’t normally get that with most Asian restaurants.

Price is at pricier side but taste, portion, service and location justify that, I recommend to reduce portion and have price reflect on that so I may order more different varieties of dishes.
