Food was so delicious! Taste of the foods were so close to Taiwan. So, if you like Taiwanese night market, this is the place that you should try!

We went to try this authentic Taiwanese restaurant days ago. Personally, I like the braised pork intestine and thought it is the best I have had in Toronto areas in the past 20 years. It is tasty, with no fishy smell at all. The braised minced pork rice is also very good , better than that in many Taipei restaurants.
After the meal, the pineapple cake (so fresh and not too sweet) satisfied my Taiwan stomach.

If you ever feel like trying authentic Taiwanese food (at least get a taste of it, because there are just way too many!), Oriental Basil will not disappoint you.
My go-to is definitely the oyster/intestine vermicelli. You can't seem to find it elsewhere! Obviously the famous Taiwanese deep fried popcorn chicken is on point, especially with the basil too. Would recommend trying the spicy and garlic option!
Also recommend oyster pancake and Taiwanese sausage in sticky rice. Genuine Taiwanese food!
It's spacious, bright and clean. You can see the open kitchen area and that's a rare sight for Asian restaurant for sure. The music playing is also what's popular in Taiwan (maybe not as most up-to-date lol, but as a Taiwanese, you'll certainly feel like home!)

Had lunch there recently and the food was quite tasty. Staffers were friendly, the place was clean and spacious. A solid choice for some high quality Taiwanese foods.
我觉得还挺好吃的，口味丰富但偏清淡那卦的。点了卤肉饭、蚵仔大肠米线、虱目鱼肚汤和猪血糕。主要是离家近真的太幸福了！

Never have thought that I could have such an authentic Taiwanese food in Toronto. Everything was good and I will definitely pay a visit next time. Among all, I like beef noodle the best as the soup and noodle are so delicious.
Visited this Taiwanese restaurant with family and really enjoyed their authentic braised pork rice with sausage bento. It was an affordable and casual meal, with great flavors and a good portion size. I also tried the watermelon tea, which was slightly sweet but refreshing and delicious. Definitely a nice spot for a simple and satisfying meal!

I brought my daughter to Oriental Basil during soft opening period and the service was very good. Both me and my daughter love the dishes! The Bao is so good and freshly made every morning.

I went there earlier today, and ordered a pork rib bento.It tastes really flavoured and authentic! And highly recommend mochi and pineapple cake if you love dessert ,must-try! It taste good and not too much sweet!
