Reviews:

I been here dozens of times for different banquet style dinners.  I don't expect too much during these banquets but I was pleasently surpised.  The fish dish was great and well cooked! The deep fried chicken was moist and delicious.  Only issue is that it's getting a little run down and it was a bit stuffy in there.

I attended a lunch conference here and it was so great! Food, service and the venue worked wonderfully!

Great portions, tasty dimsum, and friendly service from all of the waitstaff. Because of the size of the venue, there was also plenty of walking space between tables.

It was my baby's first dimsum experience and the waitstaff were very accommodating. Even when my baby was a bit noisy at times, all of the wait staff were kind and understanding with her and telling us to take our time, letting us stay past closing to finish eating and pack up our things.

We had a wonderful experience and wish the restaurant and their staff all the best!

I visited as part of a school trip. Our school didn't exactly have enough funding for the food, probably because they rented out half the restaurant just for our grade to eat there. So each table of 7-10 people only got 6 portions of food. Each table started with some 叉烧包,followed by roasted vegetables, shrimp and chive dumplings, fish cake on top of Hong Kong fried noodles, fried rice, and almond cookies. The food was very good and the waiters were very nice as well, one of my friends had a lot of food allergies and they made a new batch of food just for him that was guaranteed no cross-contamination. The big screen that would typically be used for dances was used for a Kahoot.

This place is always solid. On-site parking free for 1.5 hours while you eat. Just park on P3 and enter the restaurant. The server will have you write the license plate number on the ordering sheet. Food was great and service was friendly and efficient.

One of the finest Chinese Restaurants in Vancouver Chinatown.  Enjoyed  the DimSum, loads of variety all so yummy.

Very attractive price Yum cha set with 2 dim sim of your choice and a congee for less than CAD16.  The beef rice noodle roll 腸粉 was thin and very soft 滑.

Best dimsum and value in Vancouver. All the staples are good and there’s always seating even when busy on weekends. Parking is free in the parking lot if you give the server the license but make sure to do it at the BEGINNING of your meal

Great spot for dim sum. Excellent siu mai and shrimp dumplings. Definitely a bit on the pricier side but I digress.

Classic large dining hall style atmosphere.

It never ceases to amaze me the people complaining about service. Maybe one day they’ll realize you need to flag servers down at Chinese restaurants and everything will be okay.

A nice place for dim sum with a large group. Convenient location with free parking.

Amazing food with large portions. Also great to have free parking

A lot of Vancouver's Chinatown can be sort of scary for tourists with a lot of homeless people on the streets, but there's a chunk of it that has businesses and restaurants that are just fine.  This place is on the third floor and is an enormous, open room serving a large variety of dim sum items and larger plates.  We got three kinds of dumplings, deep fried squid and Chinese broccoli with ginger and we were stuffed!

I've been eating dim sum here for 17 years and realized I haven't left a review yet! Great food and great service. Best Bean curd rolls in the city!

Went for Saturday morning dim sum with some friends. Very tasty! Attentive service. Thank you!

It's not the best atmosphere -- just a big room. But you can have a lot of guests because the tables can be quite large.  The food and service make this a five-star restaurant.

Great dimsum with all the expected menu offerings. Free parking and no wait on early Sunday

Some of the biggest dim sum portions I've ever seen. We ordered 10 dishes for 4 people and had to pack up a decent amount to go. We were able to get a table right away for a Saturday lunch. The dining area is quite spacious. Tea was very strong, almost black on the first pot. They take AMEX too.

This was a stop on our Food tour of Chinatown. We were served plenty of yummy dim sum. Friendly and helpful staff

This was probably the strangest and unique experience I have had in a while. I went here for Dim Sum. Coming in there was no one to greet us but there were people in the dining room. Someone finally noticed and came by and got us seated. The dining room is huge and the decor is kind of odd. Instead of picking dishes from a cart you mark off what you want from a menu and they bring it out. I would advise holding back and not over ordering. Everything was good and hot coming to the table. I would definitely recommend coming here for Dim Sum.

It was so nice to experience China during our vancouver trip. Great selection and trust taste

Very easy to find parking for this restaurant, just follow the sign to get to Level 3 and registered your plate with the server.

We ordered so much food here and it was all so gooood. Luckily wasn't too crowded. Your classic Chinese spot. Large dining area really quick service and good foood. Must have the pan fried buns, the congee, sui Mai.

Floata is an enormous restaurant that sits a thousand. We went for Sunday dimsum. The new normal means there are no loner carts to tempt you to say "yes" to everything in sight. You have to order using a checklist. Some knowledge of Chinese food would be useful but the staff are very helpful and courteous. We made reservations and were seated promptly. The food was outstanding. My favourites from that morning were the Singapore fried noodles, the mushrooms rice roll and the egg tarts. Mind you the rest were delicious too! I would definitely go again especially with good friends.

Amazing food, authentic Chinese experience. That mall itself is an experience

Located in Keefer Place mall in historic Chinatown & up the street from Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese gardens, Floata Seafood Restaurant provides Free parking while you are dining in for Dim sum or Dinner. The food is Traditional Cantonese & moderately priced. One of my Family’s Faves for Dim sum tasty Har gow, Sui mai, Cheng Foon, No mai gai, which translates to Shrimp dumplings, Pork dumplings, Rice noodle wrapped with bbq pork or beef & Sticky Rice. Of coarse there is plenty off lunch items probably about 90 so I’ll only mention the 4 for now. Friendly cozy atmosphere, prompt courteous waiters & waitresses & a large selection of food so it’s no wonder my Families come here. My Families have been coming to Chinatown since 1970 & this is the only Restaurant in Chinatown that we still come too. Did I mention the Free parking? Bon appetite’

We ordered crab, shrimps, chicken fingers and congee. They all tasted very good. The service is very friendly and thoughtful. The only con is that the multiple menus caused some confusion. Overall, best seafood I've ever eaten.

Everything we had was amazing here but I really enjoyed the deep fried squid. They cooked it perfectly and topped with a pile of fried garlic and chiles (pretty mild). I haven't had it before with that topping and now I dont think I could have it any other way. I also really enjoyed their rice rolls (beef, bbq pork and shrimp). Make sure you ask for the spicy chili oil and spicy mustard because they don't keep it on the table.

Also don't pay for parking in the garage beside here. They'll validate parking for customers. We paid accidentally not knowing this and they scolded us ??.

You really have to try the eggplant dish, it's so delicious, as well as the chives & shrimp fried dumplings. Service is good and prices not too crazy.

I really Like Floata.  Good food any time and Dim Sum is great.  It feels very safe during COVID, lots of space and very high ceilings.   The staff are good and always cleaning.   Large tables lots of separation its worth a visit any day.  Parking is easy, you can park on that level and there is a discount for parking while at the restaurant.
