Review:
Good ambiance and service, usually not too crowded.
Reasonable prices, in fact I think they have some discount for morning and lunch hours.
I think they go for quality instead of quantity of food, which is just fine by me.
Went here on mother's day. Great service. It was also my mom birthday, we brought a cake and they presented it in a nice stand. Good little touch. The servers are really friendly and quick to serve. Food wise, it's pretty solid composted to other Shanghai places. 8 treasures duck was awesome.
Overall really good restaurant. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviewers here. I've eaten here twice, and only have positive things to say.
I've been quite lucky eating at another fine Chinese establishment, which is certainly the right word when admiring their decor, linen, and 'silverware', or dishware. You won't find anything chipped lol.
As soon as you walk in, you think you are in the Forbidden Palace---smells like royalty all around. Especially the washrooms, floor to ceiling of marble; no cheap tiles or drywall. Of course they cater to the higher end but have reasonable lunch specials.
Was here for a meeting, their pan fried dumplings really outstanding. Lots of juice, nicely garnished with sesame seeds & green onions, as per pic, but to me, the best part was the crust, a nice soft crunch.
Convenient parkade connected, located on 2nd floor.
Gorgeous service too.
This is the place to impress the in-laws & out of towners. Will be back for future business meetings.
Great food! Great service! Loved their Beijing Peking duck! Everything was presented really well! I loved their private room as well.
Edit: extra minimal meal fee for reservation of the VIP rooms :)
It seems that this place is always busy. The food is quite good. Some of the food like the stir fried noodles has a lot of oil/msg so I would recommend their lighter dishes. The soup with dumplings and chicken was delicious. The service was on good. Also if its your birthday they play a super cute song in the restaurant.
Came here on a weekend for dinner -- very busy, but luckily, I had a reservation booked a few days prior, so I got me a table.
The food was great! And the service was also very good.
