The best food in town for sure!
A true hole-in-the-wall gem! My friends and I really enjoyed our meal, especially the scallion oil noodles. You can get a combo where you get an “appetizer”, a “main” and a drink for $18.99 (can’t remember exactly but it was close). We opted to do the fried pork chop as our main for an extra $3. Will be coming back to support this local joint as the staff were extremely friendly and very hospitable! Menus come in Chinese and English.
The food is authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are among the best I’ve had—perfectly thin-skinned with rich, savory broth inside. We also loved the pan-fried buns and the braised pork belly—melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is clean, modern, and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Whether you’re craving comfort food or looking to impress a guest, this spot delivers.
Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys top-quality Shanghainese cuisine in Richmond!
The food is great and the staff are very friendly and kind. The hand made xiao long bao are excellent with their thin dumpling wrappers, flavourful soup and meat had great texture. Savoury pork mooncakes are also a must with their the flaky pastry and tasty filling. We also really enjoyed the shepherds purse wontons in broth. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. Tai hao le!

I'm Shanghainese, and this place is my favorite Shanghai restaurant in greater Vancouver. The food is super authentic and the servers are friendly. The xlb and scallion noodles are great, but don't sleep on the 粢饭糕

非常地道的上海点心！尝试了小笼包 蟹壳黄和本帮熏鱼 非常棒 小笼包皮薄鲜美多汁 一包汤 很绝… 熏鱼居然是现炸的 很少吃到这种做法 但是由于是刚炸好香香脆脆的 沾上酱汁 甜咸永动的我又行了！ 现烤的蟹壳黄一口掉渣 酥得嘞～给女儿点了一碗小馄炖她也特别喜欢 老板还送了茶叶蛋 特别入味 家乡的味道 ～ 还有很多想吃的菜品肯定会再来光顾～
美味正宗！推荐葱油面和汤圆。荠菜大馄饨我这边很少见到，味道也很棒。店主也非常热情友好 :)
偶然发现了这家餐厅……本来想去附近一家关门的餐厅。
这家餐厅开业还不到一周。服务很棒……服务员很热情，推荐了几道菜。网上甚至还推荐了一些菜单上没有的菜。餐厅很干净，光线也很好。
那里的食物非常美味，一点也不咸，这点很棒。我点了牛肉卷，非常喜欢卷饼本身。卷饼不像其他地方的那么油腻。它很美味，酥脆可口，一点也不油腻。
是小时光在上海马路边的味道，糍饭糕，阳春面，黄芽菜春卷都灵的。喜欢。还会来。

We tried their white-cut chicken, black pepper beef, signature tofu, and stir-fried greens,all delicious, but the signature tofu was definitely the highlight! Highly recommend it! The service was warm and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Great new spot for Shanghainese cuisine👍
Shanghai Taste is a great spot if you’re craving some real Shanghainese cuisine. The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere, and the staff is quick to help.
The wonton soup is definitely a highlight. It really does remind me of the classic wonton soups you’d find in Shanghai & Suzhou.
The pork chop noodles are another strong choice. The pork chop is both tender and well-seasoned. It’s my son’s favourite dish there.

I just found a wonderful restaurant near me last weekend. Tried their traditional Shanghai xiao long bao and signature Scallion noodles tasted so great. prices are surprisingly affordable compared to other s. BTW, Their staffs are amazing too, Highly recommended and definitely will come back.
Shanghai Taste 米道 truly brings the flavors of home! The xiao long bao are incredibly juicy, and the sheng jian bao are wonderfully fragrant with a crispy bottom and soft top. Every bite reminds me of authentic Shanghai street food. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is warm and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone craving a comforting taste of Shanghai!
