I’ve been eating here for the better part of a year. The teppanyaki beef with rice is excellent, and so is the braised chicken. The portions are massive, even for a dude who eats a lot — one plate is almost enough for a day’s worth. Every time, the seasoning and ingredient quality is impeccable.
I have never needed to wait in line, but I’d be willing to wait outside in the rain without an umbrella for this. It’s that good. Only downside is your body literally rejecting the oiliness, but your mind always wants more. And it’s inexpensive enough that you could almost justify another plate to yourself.
Underrated, even if there are a few regulars by now. Deserves a try, if not several tries.

We ordered two malatangs and some other noodle and rice dishes to try. The malatang/hotpot was fantastic; you can pick whatever toppings you want from their smartphone based ordering system and it was very intuitive.
The broth was rich and flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. We really enjoyed the braised pork noodle as well; reminds me of my mom’s cooking.
The gentleman running the store was amazing, their plum drink was also delicious.
We’re from Calgary and this was honestly the best hot pot I’ve ever had; I would highly recommend it!
Also, our meal came out to be quite reasonably priced; this was the least expensive meal we had in Toronto by far (besides fast food).
We are visiting from the USA for school and stopped here for dinner. They had a lot to offer and it was all very flavorful and delicious. The staff was very friendly. The food was beyond amazing. Very recommendable place to eat.
Got their beef broth and friend got the malatang. Flavours were rich and so great. Lots of good add ons. Love the easy order. Service was really nice. Hidden gem. Definite try
Love their 梅菜扣肉飯. Couldn’t find it anywhere near here. Just be prepared for a longer than expected wait (20-30 minutes on average during lunch and dinner time) as it is a pretty popular diner. My advice is to order beforehand, then arrive approximately half an hour later for pick-up.
Superb. Price is very reasonable. Good quality. Definitely coming back. If only they had options for spicy level...

The food is really good it surpasses my expectations, and the server is really nice. The ambiance is very nice too.
The store owner is a wonderful person. The food is very delicious and is made following self-invented recipes which makes this place unique from other restaurants. The staff here is always very friendly and easy-going too. Feels like visiting a home where you as a guest is treated with luxury. Hotpot might not be for everyone but definitely give this place a try at least once!
Contrary to the typical hot pot style - where a boiling pot is given to you and you boil the raw ingredients yourself before consuming - everything you order is prepared for you in a bowl, kind of like a ramen bowl experience instead of hot pot style.
A wonderful restaurant with delicious hot pot! They offer so many unique ingredients and noodles for their hot pot bowls at a great price. Their staff are very friendly. I've come here many times and it's always a great experience!
One of the best place for authentic Shanghainese food in Toronto so far, though it's a hotpot/Malayan restaurant also. Highly recommend braised pork belly with preserved vegetable, but it might take around 30 min to prepare, which is typical the case for this dish.
The braised pork belly with preserved vegetables and rice is incredible. Great price too. I eat here multiple times a month, and will continue to do so.
