Staff were friendly and the food came out fast. The FuMin combo with wonton was good. Broth was very tasty. Dumplings were juicy on the inside and great.
The dry noodle with braised pork chops were also very tasty. There’s a self serve tea and water station near the door. So help yourself.
The first experience of fried dumplings was great, as I've only eaten steamed dumplings. Lots of soup inside, so you need to be careful when biting into it. Only 1 type of dumpling on the menu. The flavors were good. The staff were all friendly and nice.
Would recommend if you have not tried this restaurant or friend dumplings in general, you won't be disappointed.
The food here is absolutely amazing! The service is great and I cannot get over how delicious the dumplings and noodles were! The tea egg was a lovely surprise and the house vinegar was fabulous!!
Might be a hidden gem for now, visited this place on a whim and my kid’s request.
Glad we did. Everything was tasty, reasonably priced, service was friendly, especially for noobies like me who can’t read Chinese.

Best Shanghainese cuisine in town. Very enthusiastic, tastes exactly the same like what I had back in Shanghai.
Dumplings are big and juicy, noodles are firm with the right flavor.
The complementary bean they have which is a unique Shanghainese dish that also tastes amazing.
Their tea egg is the best one I have tried in Vancouver as well.
If you are a Shanghainese or love Shanghainese food, this is a must try place.
Food is so great especially the dumplings and the pork chop. Definitely have to come back again.
Their dumplings are so tasty I had to buy some frozen and bring home.
Also tried Braised Pork rice and the pork is just right.

I recently visited Shanghai Dumpling King Richmond, a traditional Shanghaiese - Chinese restaurant that specializes in local dishes, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. All dishes especially the dumpling was the best I've ever had in B.C. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, if you're looking for authentic local Shanghaiese-Chinese food, Shanghai Dumpling King Richmond is definitely worth checking out.
Very traditional Shanghainese food, as a Shanghainese, I have to say it’s really good and make it feel like back in Shanghai, the fried dumpling has the crispy bottom and soup inside, the dry noodle is the most classic Shanghainese dish, it’s a must-have.
Food was excellent ! Love all the dishes we ordered ! Exactly how I wanted for a satisfied comfortable dinner !
