I am Shanghainese who's living souther state for 37 years. I had great opportunity taste there food couple days ago. Tasted bamboo soup, fresh water eel, fried yellow cracker, smoked banpino fish, and rice ball soup. All was excellent! Oh! And raw bloody clams. Not salty, not too sweet. Usually Shanghainese food are too sweet. Well! I should come back again try others . The food are filling my home sick . Thank y'all bring the great food to the dallas, plano .
现在上海菜在上海都找到好的都不容易。在德州能找到一家还不错的真棒。
For non Chinese readers.....you probably haven't had more than two authentic types of Chinese cuisine (there's eight major ones, and even more minor local ones ). This is actual legit Shanghainese food.
3rd time going here and consistently they are awesome. My sons love the orange chicken and general tso at this restaurant. So crunchy and not too sweet. My husband and I love asking the waiters for their recommendations and loved each dish. All the dishes a light and tasty. Would highly recommend.
Tried this based on yelp ratings (on a business trip). Not the Americanized menu I'm used to. Ordered A crawfish fried rice dish. Absolutely incredible and very friendly people. Glad I came.
This restaurant is a must! The staff was helpful and very attentive. They educated us on the dishes and were very friendly. The food was amazing. It was very authentic and flavorful. Hubby and I will definitely return to try other items on the menu.
We came by for a birthday celebration on Saturday around noon. We made a reservation ahead of time, but they aren't required. In fact, there was plenty of seating still available. The restaurant is pretty spacious with lots of large tables, booths, and fancy-looking private rooms.
Service was fast - food came out within 10 mins. You view the menu via a QR code, but have to order with the waitstaff. The restaurant gets fresh fish restocked every Saturday--ask about specials.
Definitely going back!
I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I've had my share of authentic to americanized Chinese food from nyc to San Francisco but never had food like this.
I ordered several dishes, recommended by the friendly waiter. Each dish was so different and extremely flavorful. So light, fresh and different in a good way. I would describe this restaurant's food as upscale dining.
Try the eggplant mustard salad, shrimp long egg rolls, sweet and sour baby ribs, meatballs, walnut with asparagus salad, and rice ball soup(dessert).
Can't wait to go back to try other dishes.
Keep coming back to this restaurant! lol It is great to see an authentic Shanghainese restaurant finally open in the DFW area. Some dishes remind me of homemade cooking from my childhood. The servers are friendly, and some are native Shanghainese, which is great because it's nice to hear the local dialect.
Amazing, friendly service. You can tell the owner deeply cares for the business, and the employees respect him. Every dish was delicious. Grand opening week, so it was packed. Use the QR code at the table for the menu and order with waiter. There were many choices, but we tried to stick with their popular items. It's located at a plaza, so there were plenty of parking.
Went there yesterday for lunch and ordered stone fish tofu soup. It's out of this world!
It is excellent Shanghainese food. Finally we have Shanghainese Cuisine for a change. Love the steam fish, Shrimp egg rolls, ginger chicken, Yan Du Shien Soup, the Lion Head (meat balls), braised pork belly..... all are my favorite I will for sure going back. Also very nice decor.
Shanghai Dynasty recently opened and we were excited to try this place out as there’s not many Shanghainese options available. This place wasn’t too busy when we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. The staff was really helpful in recommending dishes that fit our palate. There’s a good amount of seafood available and everything we ordered came out really tasty. One thing we appreciated is that they will cook your seafood in your preferred style.
The prices are slightly elevated, but you’re paying a premium for some really good food.

Awesome food AND service. All of their seafoods are so fresh. 熏鱼 is just at the the perfect sweetness.
Authentic Shanghai / Schezuan Chinese food that is a must try for all. It is a very authentic menu, much different from the typical American-Chinese restaurants.
All items are freshly prepared, large shareable portions and super delicious. The place used to Tai Zhong and is now under new management and slightly modified menu. The new place is amazingly designed, well kept, clean and service is friendlier than Tai Zhong.
They also have seating for large groups / families, like 3 or 4 private rooms for a different dining experience. Overall the place is super clean and is a must visit for some great Chinese food.
Must try is the spicy fried chicken, fish in spicy soup, kung pao chicken, soup dumplings and fried rice.
The food was fantastic and the interior was so good looking. The food was handed out extremely fast and the workers were so.
Deeeelicious! Great service.
Not your typical restaurant... Food is authentic & tasty. Recommend the mussel dish.

Very good service and food is top notch.
Excellent authentic Chinese food!
Great service and delicious food!
The food was absolutely delicious. The highlight of the meal was the braised pork, which was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It was definitely a standout dish that I would highly recommend. On the other hand, the smoked fish was just average. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t leave a strong impression either.
One of the things I look forward to when I was kid living in Shanghai are the pastry appetizers - such as soup dumplings, fried dumplings, etc. I was so surprised to find that wasn’t any on the menu at all. Maybe this is because this is a new restaurant and they are figuring things out. We might come back to give another try.My parents are generations of Shanghainese, so we were excited about this new restaurant.
