Cafe Ambrosia bills itself as healthy Chinese, but don't let that deter you if you aren't looking for a healthy dinner - they have healthy stuff that tastes great!
I have never dined in, but we have ordered from them several times over that last few years. I have to say for the price, you get the freshest, best tasting food in generous portions.
I love the volcano chicken. It is hot with out killing your tongue. They pile on the chicken and give you a great variety of mixed veggies (not just bamboo shoots and water chestnuts!). Plus you can get brown rice with your entree! A nice little touch.
I wouldn't hesitated to recommend it. Love it!
The first time I came here, I lived in highlands ranch. I've since moved around the corner from here and in 1.5 years have not made it in till tonight!! Silly me!
I got take out tonight, came in to order and only waited 10 minutes. I got a chicken Penang curry, pork steamed dumplings and egg rolls. Everything was delicious and my toothless 9 month old ate the dumplings with ease. The dumplings are quite big too, very full with filling and he ate almost 2 of them!! I find potato in the curry a little strange but it was a great flavour sauce. I also got a complimentary cookie, and two of the egg rolls were free too!
So.damn.good!
My girlfriend and I met here for dinner, Tuesday night, place was very quiet and good for a chat.
We ordered some fried chicken dumplings, a shrimp green curry and a chicken peanut curry. Everything was delicious. The green curry was a little spicy, not too bad but the chilliest are cooked and served in it so biting into one thinking it's bell pepper can be a bit over the top!
Service was good, they were happy for us to sit and talk for an hour or so after we finished eating.
Great Chinese food!
And the best Crab Rangoon's I've had in a long time. They use a thin wonton wrapper so it's much easier to eat in my opinion and it didn't feel like mostly wrapper.
We had a big family order and they got the whole thing correct! We ordered roasted duck (my personal favorite), beef with broccoli, chicken cashew, shrimp lo mein, fried dumplings, fried shrimp and "golden fingers" which was fried chicken. Everybody loved what they ordered!
It was funny that we called and asked for pink sauce or shrimp sauce, which they didn't have... come to find out it was a sauce special to my mom's favorite place - in Oregon! And even though I told them it was ok and they didn't have to add it they sent us sweet and sour sauce which I thought was an awesome gesture! Also for having such a big order the through in extra Rangoon's! Yum!!
I highly recommend this place!!
Food was good and they were running late on the delivery but I understand it was NYE and gave us complimentary cookies and crab Rangoon.
We love the fresh food, personal service and the restaurant updates. Give this restaurant try if you haven't already!
This place was great! I ordered through Yelp and my food was ready early! My husband picked it up and they threw in some spring rolls for free. The Orange Chicken and Veggie Lo Mein were bomb! We will be ordering from here again! Best Chinese food in the area.
