I just picked up food here today and it did not disappoint. I love Amazing Wok. The portions are huge and the flavor is unmatched. Plus the price is still cheap.
I have been ordering takeout from here for at least 12 years and have never been served a bad dish. The string bean chicken lunch special is still my favorite.

I love the food and the service has always been great. I order to go everytime and my order is right almost all of the time. it's has been mixed up a couple of time so I'd check the order before leaving. I love that they can make some of their spicy options not spicy but still full of flavor. I love spice but I can't handle to much.
This is my go-to place when I want Chinese food. I have never had a bad meal here. Both girls are very nice. Highly recommend it!

Great neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The won ton soup is my go to on a cold day. They have a huge menu and they will modify or accommodate requests .
Hands down best Chinese food in the area. We have tried so many and we are so grateful we found Amazing Wok!! It has become almost a weekly dinner option for us!! Especially since it has been a bit too warm to cook lately.
We have not eaten in the restaurant. We usually have it delivered or we pick it up. The gal who helped us tonight was extremely friendly and our food was ready to go when we arrived!! Great customer service!! My favorite has been the chicken chow fun dish and my husband loves the sweet and sour chicken.

I've never actually been into the restaurant but I doordash from here fairly often! I have nothing but great things to say.
It's an American style Chinese restaurant and I'm a big fan. They have a large variety of dishes from chicken to beef to seafood, etc.
My favorites include combination chow mein (they even add pieces of pork rinds), bbq rice and the Mongolian beef.
This is my family's go-to Chinese restaurant when we need our Chinese food fix. Their food is always fresh and delicious and piping hot once we arrive home. Their pork fried rice and veggie chow fun (thick noodles) is our favorites. I recommend you taste for yourselves. Give them a try on your next Chinese food run.
Wow. Now I've had the Beijing Black Bean Noodles, which are fantastic, and brought home some Singapore and Dan-Dan Mein noods which I will report on later. But the black bean (djajamein) noodles were nice and chewy, sauce was rich and had a great umami flavour, and on the whole were neither too salty or too spicy - and was a good-sized portion. I can recommend and will definitely return myself, for the black bean if nothing else. Claim to be on DoorDash, GrubHub and PostMates if you want.
Good food. They give you a big amount and very hot off the grill I ordered Tan Tan noodles very good for about 2 people.
My coworker and I stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to lunch. The aroma of the food was a pleasant surprise as we walked by. We decided to change our plans and eat lunch here.
We both ordered from the lunch special menu which includes the soup of the day and a choice of rice or noodles with your entree. The price ranges from $10-$13 (+$1 if you opt for chow mein or brown rice) for the lunch special menu. They have really good portions for the price you pay. The soup of the day was hot and sour soup. It was seasoned well and comforting especially with the cooler weather. I got the basil beef with eggplant and string beans ($10.95). The dish was sweeter than expected but tasty. Also, the jalape?os were not spicy to me. I'll definitely be back for more.
Chow mien veggie was perfect and onion pancake delish, just wish they provided some kinda spice to dip or add like a chili sauce.
After trying plenty of Chinese take out spots in SF and the general Bay Area, this is the only place I'll go. Eating there is even better. Everything has great flavor, large portions, and served hot and fresh. My favorites are their vegetable fried rice, sesame chicken, stir fried dry green beans, and vegetable chow mein. Amazing wok never misses.
I love this place. It's off the beaten path and worth going to. They have fresh food and really large servings! If you ask nicely, and want something not listed on the menu, they may accommodate you!

I have been going here since 1997. I've tried other Chinese restaurants but am always disappointed and come back here for the best takeout.

The entire family (including two very picky kids) love their food! Great selection of fish and veggie options. Especially like the black bean fish and dry cooked green beans. Eggplant is also delicious.
I left a review in 2017 after my first time ordering... now this restaurant is our family favorite. We order delivery monthly, sometimes more -- hot sour soup, chicken lettuce cup, steamed white rice are staple items. Beef with orange flavor is also the bomb. Walnut prawns is another goodie. If we did dine-in they would now know us by name

Ordered through DoorDash for pickup and it took about 2 hours total to get my order, but it was a crazy Christmas demand. I think they lost my order ticket because when I asked about the status of my order and asked them to make sure that they did in fact have my order one of the ladies came back and said she told the chef to make my order. Tickets get lost, they had an insane amount of orders, it happens. Got to the point that they went from telling people on the phone "it will probably be over 1.5 hours we are really busy" to direct "sorry we can't take anymore phone orders we are too busy". Respect to the folks working here with this crazy demand.
Our food came out piping hot and when we ate it at home it was literally the best Christmas meal I've ever had. Szechuan eggplant, vegetable chow mein, sweet and sour pork, and magic pepper chicken spicy... these dishes were all so so soooooooo good. This will now be my go-to Chinese takeout place.

P.S. if you're a dasher or any other food app driver please be nice to the workers at restaurants. So many dashers just come in barking the name of the order theyre picking up and just hounding folks. Please chill.

Thank you for making hot, fresh, tasty food for the ridiculous Xmas dinner rush. They were juggling diners, orders from UberEATS, door dash, AND GrubHub, and phone-call + walk-in takeout orders. We waited close to 2hrs, having put in our order at 4:30pm and picked up after 6pm. We honestly didn't mind the wait bc the food was that good. While we were waiting, I really appreciated how the diners were getting prompt service. Shout out to the two ladies running the table service, calls, pickups, and the one chef coming in and out to coordinate the queue of orders and wok capacity.
Ordered 4 dishes for pick-up and everything was hot off the wok:
E1. Vegetable Chow Mein: Standard, exactly what I was craving. Hit the spot.
D4. Szechuan Eggplant: Gravy, garlicky, subtlety sweet and spicy eggplant that's properly cooked, i.e. fried in oil to seal the chunks before adding the sauces so they're tender and won't melt into a mush.
H6. Magic Chili Chicken Spicy: Oh-em-gee, the flavor of this one was amazing. Ordered this from the pictures and it hit a spot I didn't know existed. It's like a spicy version of salt and pepper seasoning. Here's what I was able to decipher: salt, jalape?os, white pepper, sesame seeds, two types of chopped, dried red chilies, Szechuan peppercorns, yellow onion, green onion, fried peanuts, and red bell pepper. Everything is tossed in this seasoning and fried. Great wok-hay (it's a flavor profile if you're Canto)
B3. Sweet and Sour Pork: Battered, fried chunks of juicy pork in red sweet and Sour sauce with chunks of pineapple, bell pepper, and onion. I thought it'd be the pork ribs that you get at Chinese banquet from the set menu vs. the chunks, but the chunks worked out well.
Paired jasmine rice at home, washed it down with a beer, and Merry Christmas we're warm and well-fed!
This place was so delicious! Despite being short staffed we felt taken care of as a group of 10. Our hot tea kettle stayed full. We were happy. Will definitely be returning soon.
Soo good Chinese food. Spice and flavor is superb. If you ask for less spicy they do that well. Delicious vegetarian chow fun. The sczehwan eggplant is amazing truly.

If you want good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. This is the place. Once they renovated and I am sure upgrades to the kitchen. This place is great. 5 stars when you match price to value and service.
I drive from Mountain View, there are a lot of closer Chinese restaurants to me, none are in the realm of this place. Help keep them open and order an extra entree, the walnut shrimp is my wife's favorite. I'm partial to the Szechuan Beef.
I ordered some food from amazing wok yesterday night. From door dash I'm being honest there Chinese food is better than panda express and a lot of Chinese restaurants . Panda Expresses chow main sucks super skinny with no flavor.
I ordered the broccoli and beef and I got a lot ! Of beef honestly a lot ! Most Chinese places only give you a little bit of beef and a lot of broccoli when you order broccoli and beef.

My friend spots to get Americanized Chinese Food (like Orange Chicken and Walnut Shrimp). They have a great balance between authentic Chinese flavor and American twist.
Updating my very old review to compliment the take out order I picked up today. Called in an order for 2 families and drove to pick it up during the Covid shutdown from the South Bay. I have only done takeout about 3 times in the past two months of this shutdown, and once, I decided I did not want to go into a restaurant to pick up my order as the conditions were bad. It was a small order, I lost my money, but not worth the risk. Writing that to let you know how concerned I am with safe practices right now. The Wok gets an A+ from me. You do not have to touch the door to go in, it is open and you can only enter a few steps inside the open door. There are two tables blocking you from entering beyond the register area, and that is where your order is brought when you come and pick it up, all bagged and ready to go. The food is put onto the table, the server STEPS BACK away from the table, and you can maintain more than a safe distance going to pick it up. The server had a mask, gloves and full face shield on to place the food on the table. I left cash, more than the order as it felt right to leave a tip, moved back away, again at least 10 feet between us at all times. Everything was carefully packed, piping hot and delicious. Took half to drop off to family in Berkeley as this place is so good! Thank you Amazing Wok for decades of great food, good friendly service and super safe practices during this pandemic.
Amazing Wok is ACTUALLY AMAZINGGGGG! Go show them some love! In my experience it's really hard to find Hong Kong Style Crispy Noodles. Let alone Crispy Noodles with just chicken. This place accommodated my seafood allergies and was able to make it for me with just chicken. Also if you enjoy authentic Cantonese food, definitely this is the place to order. They have great COVID procedures for take out. Aside from that their fried rice is super plentiful, well seasoned, the perfect texture, and I mean it's hellla good! Definitely pick up some food from here T O D A Y!
