Reviews:
My partner and I love dimsum so when we heard there was a new restaurant in Pittsburgh we had to try. We were pleasantly surprised. I loved the atmosphere and vibe and the food we tried was great. We¡¯re definitely coming back to try more dishes. Customer service was also great! (They brought me scissors to make it easier to eat my noodles).
Yummmmm! BBQ pork buns! Soup dumplings! All things I was expecting to love. However, I always amazed by the veggie spring rolls I ordered for my husband. They were the best I've ever had!
Will definitely be back.
Atmosphere was fantastic. The dining room had an aesthetic that wasn't overwhelming at all. The dining chairs were colorful, soft, and very comfortable. The staff were very polite and patient. I enjoyed the fact that majority of the staff is learning English, because that's how you know the food is super authentic. The food was very reasonable priced and the serving sizes were amazing. Everything out super hot and fresh, and very quickly. You'll never leave this place hungry, that's for sure. Ordering dessert here is like reaching a great milestone. It'll never happen lol. Oh, one last thing, their takeout bags are so super cute. They are colorful, lined in foul to hold temperature and can actually seal closed for a delivery service and to also ensure your food stays temped and safe!
Wonderful, delicious, fresh. Don¡¯t sleep on this unassuming restaurant in a strip center.
The passion for hand made Dim Sum comes through it the great food here.
Today it¡¯s spicy wonton noodles with an egg added. I¡¯ve had the food here over half a dozen times, trying something different each time.
Coming back this weekend for the Cantonese-style Roasted Duck. Only available on the weekends.
A great value to boot!
Food was delicious we are coming back. We had the dry noddles Taiwanese style and my husband had beef and beef tendon noodles, ( I¡¯m coming back for this one !) our appetizer was so good I could have eaten a dozen-pot belly steam buns. the egg tarts we had for dessert were one of my favorites I¡¯ve had!
Service was great definitely
We were recommended this place by the staff over at Avalon Vet. This is, without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had in years. Great food, fast service (during dinner time no less!), a friendly staff and perfectly reasonable prices for the quality of food. I haven't been this excited about restaurant food in a really long time.
This is the fifth time we went to the restaurant so far. The food was exceptional, especially the crystal shrimp dumplings, it's the best I ever had. Also the attentive and friendly staff provided impeccable service throughout my dining experience. We will definitely come back!
This place was absolutely amazing! The food is super authentic. Finally an actual Dim Sum restaurant in pittsburgh! We got the rolled beef pancakes, the crystal shrimp dumplings, the crab rangoons, and the chicken and corn pan fried dumplings. Everything was absolutely phenomenal! The environment is very relaxing. The chairs are very comfortable and the staff are amazing. We came around 8 pm on a Saturday and they were out of a decent amount of items on the menu, but I think it was just because their kitchen was undergoing maintenance. I highly, highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Dim Sum!
Today was the grand opening day of Wei Lai Dim Sum, which is located in McIntyre Square where the former Ting's Chinese Restaurant was. We went for dinner, and it was packed with lots of Asians, always a good sign at a Chinese restaurant. We ordered shrimp and pork wonton noodle soup, steamed crystal shrimp dumplings, and pork soup dumplings. Everything we had today was yummy. Would definitely return. So happy there is a dim sum and noodle soup restaurant finally in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.
This place has authentic bao and dim sum! The flavor is fresh with gorgeous ingredients! The service is awesome but the seating can be a tight fit when busy so go on a weekday if you can! I enjoyed the bbq Korean Bao and the beef tenderloin with noodles, the cucumber salad is divine and I recreated it at home because it is sooooo good! I would steer away from the pork belly appetizer, it was not crispy at all. I would highly recommend this place and the prices are fair!
Was very happy with the dim sum lunch today. The dumplings were all delicious, and the pork belly bao was too. The bao bun was perfectly steamed and didn¡¯t have that elasticy chewiness that happens when. They are over steamed or sit out. Will definitely be venturing back to try the noodles soon.
FRESH & DELICIOUS. Not overpriced. This place is something special. The noodles are wonderful - I've never tasted something so fresh and good.
Finally Pittsburgh dimsum! The quality of fresh handmade dimsum, dumplings and bao - oh my! I recommend the soup dumplings (Xiao loong bao), dandan noodles, and starting off with the dimsum platter if you aren't familiar. This restaurant is definitely going to be a Pittsburgh staple. Great job.
Super excited to have this place in the area! A great menu, with tons of different dumplings and noodles. Amazing soup dumplings, and great noodles. There are a good handful of veg based options available as well. The space isn¡¯t anything flashy but staff are super attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend if you¡¯re looking for casual dim sum or your noodle fix. I look forward to coming back regularly
Came on a Saturday lunch with my family. We waited an hour to get a table. Worth the wait though. Their food exceeded my standard of Pittsburgh's dimsum. Very delicious!! Popcorn chicken was my favorite.
We came on the weekend and got to enjoy the Roast Duck which was outstanding! Salted egg custard buns were delectable too!
Clean, friendly service, and the best dim sum I've had in Pittsburgh! The whole family (including our kiddo) really enjoyed the food! We went on a Sunday and they had specials running for the weekend. Some specials ended at 4pm, unfortunately, but others (like the duck and pork bowl) were available and delish. Would highly recommend, and I will be sure to go back.
The food is so good and pretty decent prices as well. The service was prompt and friendly. The chairs to sit in are very nice and comfortable.
I came here with my bf. I ordered Lan Zhou beef noodle soup, the broth is reached in flavor and so refreshing!! He ordered the Taiwanese Dan Zai Noodle Soup, he absolutely Love it. Never had this kind of noodle soup before I'm so glad the waiter make the best recommendations.
I will definitely bring my family and friends and come revisit again!!!
