Reviews:
Food was absolutely delicious. It came way quicker than I thought. The atmosphere is very nice. I would come back every day if I could. If you¡¯re craving bao while in Monterey, plan a meal at Jack¡¯s Bao. It¡¯s worth it.
I love coming here for lunch. We make it a day¡ªpark at sunset beach and walk up. It¡¯s right next to the aquarium, so very convenient for tourists. Their mini wonton soup and spicy pork noodle soup is what we always get. This time around we ordered the bao sampler, and it was the best we ever had. The dining area is always clean, too.
Right next to aquarium, nice place for a quick lunch. Beef noodle soup is good. Would be a nice choice if you crave for some soup or noodles. Bathroom is clean.
This was delicious and filling.
Food was great, service was amazing food came super quick and overall it was amazing!
Asian food with simple ingredients, complex taste and elevated flavor.
You can taste the difference when it's hand made and they don't cut corners.
The food is good enough to be a destination restaurant. It's what you imagine a local mom & pop would serve up.
Hopefully the high rent of Cannery Row doesn't weigh it down.
We live in Lodi but vacation in Monterey and this place will always be at the top of our list to make it to while we're there. We like to go for lunch/dinner after visiting the aquarium. Price is great and you get a good amount of food for it, service has been friendly and crazy fast, and some people might not like it but it's been almost empty both times we've been, which is nice after being in the crowded aquarium for several hours.
Small menu but quite tasty and generous.
We had the delicious fried wontons, the braised beef noodle soup & the peanut sesame cold noodle salad, all very tasty.
Stopped in on our way out from the Aquarium. Grabbed two orders of Pork Bao buns, fried wontons, pork and shrimp wonton soup and a coco-pina refresher. Everything was delicious and packed well for a to go order.
This is our first time trying the bao and we love them. The taste especially the vegetarian bao and the spicy sauce was really good. The service was prompt and the lady was sweet. Definitely worth trying.
Loved the nap buns and the tea is amazing. We ended up buying a second round to go!
Next to the Intercontinental Hotel with great location. The restaurant is clean with decent food. The recommended tip percentage on the receipt does not include the tax. People know how much I hate restaurants include the tax in the recommended tip percentage. This is a good restaurant. I will definitely come again next time I visit Monterey.
The food was amazing staff was friendlya perfect 10.
soooo good!! i got the wonton soup and it was amazing!! tasted spectacular!! i recommend to everyone!
Went for a quick Lunch. Food is always great and not too pricey. People are very kind and place is always clean and friendly.
Got the steamed pork bao and the soup dumplings and both were very good. Good customer service as well.
It¡¯s very authentic Shanghai style food, very delicious.
Had the steamed pork bao, pan fried Dumpling, and pork rib noodle soup. Broth in the soup was really good, pork and done a little more than I would prefer. Bao and Dumplings were great, bao had a nice ginger vinegar sauce. Nice atmosphere, too.
Food is fire. Nothing else to say.
This place offers excellent food. Taste is very nice and the service is great!!!
Very tasty and authentic Shanghainese Wanton. Definitely a good Asian food choice in Monterey.
I loved the food and the quality, the portions are very generous. Food got served super quick and the staff was great.
Delicious pork buns and wonton soup.
This modern vibin dumpling shop located on cannery row has got wontons, steamed dumplings and delicious sticky rice.
It is pay first and then sit and this lady comes and brings you your order. Its really a sweet little shop with friendly staff
We couldn't quite make it to china town and this was perfect to introduce my kids to asian food.
Simple tasty menu. Good see a little bit of the ocean out the window. Convenient to aquarium and local shopping.
The fried wontons and Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are SO good. Me and my boyfriend went here since the wait for Bubba gump was long and I am very happy we did. The seating is nice we had our space from everyone. I didnt like the Pork inside ofnt the spicy pork soup but liked the noodles and broth/vegetables.
We loved it - thanks!
Great place to eat. Food was very delicious great customer service super clean. Will eat there again.
Excellent rich food! The steamed pork bao was delicious and soft and warm full of flavor. The spicy pork soup was very tasty and perfect for spicy lovers. The mini pork and shrimp wanton soup was also a delight. Highly recommend.
