Who doesn't want dumplings and seafood?! What an incredible combo.
We did not make reservations and went for lunch - we were one of three tables. The menu is HUGE so many choices of cold noodles, seafood boils, dumplings, pot stickers, and Chinese dishes.
We did: shiitake mushrooms & chicken dumpling, the original pot stickers, sweet & sour chicken and cold noodle bowl. Every single dish was original and not American mix. The dumplings are so soft and just melt in your mouth. The sweet and sour has an incredible flavor and the pineapple is an added bonus. Out of everything the shiitake mushroom & chicken dumpling was the best! It's super relaxed and casual. Don't worry about dressing up for others. Can't wait to come back!

You guys! This place is soooo good! I came here with my visiting relatives and the place was bustling with people, so you know the food is super good! I'm a big fan of the garlic noodle, XO broccoli, honey chicken, crispy chicken.
I definitely will be coming back to try the shrimp and crab- I saw all the tables have it so that will be next on my list!

Going to admit that the pictures aren't the best because I got excited and distracted and only thought about pictures after we had started digging in. We didn't expect to be here. We were actually trying to eat somewhere else and ended up here at 2pm on Saturday afternoon. Didn't have any expectations going in except what Yelp told me and it and so everything was just more and more of a positive experience and would recommend...is the TLDR version.
The restaurant has customers but was nowhere near packed because 1) the time of day we went 2) it is spacious with high ceilings so just feels like it has more room. The space is nice for big groups..I can imagine big family gathering and group work lunches going well here.
Service was personable and friendly, one particular member of the wait staff (I wish I had got their name) came to check on us multiple times and made some suggestions that we really liked and found very helpful. I saw them doing that to other tables too.
Now the food. We were only 2, so we didn't try enough of things and definitely intend to go back to try more with friends. We got the 1lb shrimp, Cajun style, spicy with 2 servings of rice and the Mongolian beef. LOVED the shrimp. The Mongolian beef was sweeter than we were expecting and so we would not get that again. Very tasty though!
Finally the check, remember the server who had some good suggestions? He saw how much we liked the Cajun sauce and suggested that we could purchase some extra sauce to take home (we had cleaned our plates pretty thoroughly). So the food+extra sauce was about $55 after tax, before tip. We left feeling satisfied.

Canjun seafood AND dumplings?! What a combination! I would recommend if you like seafood and don't mind getting your hands dirty!!
Parking is definitely hard to find on weekend lunch but the food is definitely worth a visit!! Our server was extremely nice and even gave us beer on the house, super friendly and homey environment to be in!
Definitely get their 1lb jumbo shrimp with butter garlic and lemon, the sauce is so good by itself to be mixed with fried rice! It is not greasy or too buttery, it was just at the right consistency!! Their dumplings were really good too, the skin/dough layer isn't thick like other places and they actually filled it up with a good amount of meat on the inside and it is super juicy!!! All the food were great and a good portion to be shared in family style!! Will definitely come back and recommend it to others!!

Came here and tried their pork XLB, fried pork XLB, shrimp boil and Cajun XLB and out of everything I tried, the Cajun XLB was the winner. Never had anything like this and the flavor was on point. They make everything from scratch and overall a gem of a find. Will be back! Metered parking in the front or free parking after 6pm

My last day in South City and I wanted to find something fun and different. So, I see a Cajun/Chinese seafood place and think, that sounds amazing, never having tried that specific concept before. We have some Viet-Cajun in Houston (which is amazing), so I figured this would be a fun pairing. Had the pan-fried Cajun bao (because fusion) and cucumber salad. Both were delicious, and all the staff were super nice and helpful! I will definitely try this place again when I come back!

I really like this place. I have been searching for a good soup dumpling for a while. They are really hard to find for some reason. This place was what I was looking for. I had two types of soup dumpling that were both great. The cajun dumpling was my favorite. I had the fried crab appetizer that was good, but could have used some kind of dipping sauce in my opinion, but still good. I also had the crab fried rice that was also pretty good. The food came out piping hot. So hot a burned my tongue, but that was my fault for being impatient. I would definitely return.

We got S9. Garlic Noodles ()with 2x lbs of Crawfish (corn and sausage) with fried chicken wings. Was so so so good. This is the place to go if your craving garlic noodles and crawfish (my Texas wife calls them crawdads) . We also got Blue Crab fried rice Togo, but my wife and son pounded 1/2 of that when we got home. Anyways.. it was delish. Thanks for opening up and giving us a go restaurant from now on in South City!

Was excited to find a combination restaurant close to home with Cajun seafood and dim sum/dumplings. We ordered the combo seafood that had shrimp, crawfish, and snow crab legs. We also ordered one of their house special dumplings. Although I was not a big fan of the dumplings, I was surprised how fresh their seafood tasted. Literally the snow crab legs were probably the best I've ever had. We ordered it with the Cajun sauce- it did come with A LOT of sauce, that I wasn't expecting. And the sauce was very thick and creamy, it's hard to explain. Kinda like a gravy? I wasn't a fan of that, but they do have a really big menu and lots of options to choose from, so I'd definitely come back to try other things, and a different lighter sauce for the seafood next time. Service was good too, and the inside is pretty spacious.

My husband said and I came by today and had such an amazing experience. We can't wait to come back with a group. The food was delicious. The service was great ambience was so call me and we love the open affect. We we got the tan tan noodles that were great, we got some dumplings that were recommended that were kind of crispy on the bottom. Those were delicious and we got the c1 shrimp crawfish and clams with a medium spicy and garlic and Cajun seasoning very good

We ordered the garlic noodles, Cajun shrimp and cucumber salad, and all taste really good. The waiter was nice and the restaurant is clean and a pretty decent size.
