Reviews:

I came with my family for dinner one night and we ordered so much food. The staff kept bringing out dish after dish and it was amazing! Everything was so good, but the one thing that stood out to me most was this stingray dish! It was so incredibly good that I craved it and got it as takeout too! Although the takeout version wasn't as crispy as it was in person, everything else was incredibly delicious!! Every post of the fish was edible including the bones! I loved every bit of it and pairing it with any veggies made the meal so very well rounded! The okra tasted like it was boiled and drizzled with sweet spice and some type of sambal sauce on top. Best meal ever because I got to experience it at the restaurant and in the comfort of my own home! I would definitely keep going back just for the fish!!

Absolutely best Malaysian food I've had so far!!

We were craving something yummy, like a curry with rice and vegs. Looked up food near me and New Ipoh kitchen came up. Many good reviews so decided to give it a shot. SO GLAD WE DID! Their food is amazing!

The inside is kinda small, but bright, super clean and well positioned. Didn't know what we wanted at first so asked the staff for some help. They were so kind and very patient as we asked 100 questions lol. We ended up getting the Chicken Curry, Beef Curry and Garlic vegs. The curry that came with the chicken is by far the best curry ive had (and i looove curry and have tried curry from so many different cultures). It is a little spicy with a sweet undertone. The beef was so tender and fell apart just by grabbing it. Both dishes came with white rice but you do have the option to get chicken flavored rice (which is also good). The garlic veg came with Broccoli, baby corn, two types of mushrooms, carrots and snap peas.

10/10 would recommend and go back again and again!

Great local spot for Malaysian if you're craving it! The chicken was very tender and silky. The roti is a must get! It comes with a piece of chicken and potato which you can ear with your roti. I wish the piece of roti was a bit bigger but nonetheless I would order again! The singapore mei fun was also good but don't get it if you don't like the taste of fish sauce. Highly recommend the beef and pepper rice, it was well seasoned snd goes perfectly with the rice. Overall great place filled with locals if you want an authentic experience! There's not too many tables to dine in and theres usually people waiting outside but don't let that deter you. Take out is also a great option if it gets too crowded.

I love this place. My favs are the Seafood War Dan Hor, Hainanese Chicken, and Roti Canai. The passionfruit smoothie is decent too.

Super impressed with this Malaysian place! I was looking for something nearby and found this gem.

We ordered the curry laksa, Hainanese chicken, crispy scallops, and Thai iced tea.

The Thai ice tea was good and sweet. It's one of the nicer Thai iced teas I've had but I like mine creamier with less bitter tea flavor. The curry laksa was flavorful! Very strong fish paste/ curry flavor. I would've liked some different toppings but the flavor was still one of the better curry laksas I've had in New York.

The Hainanese chicken was delicious. Definitely a must try. It was juicy and the way it was soaking in the special soy sauce- yummy. Some pieces were a little fatty but overall delicious. The crispy scallops were also not bad but nothing too special.

They also have complimentary red bean soup at the end! Service was standard- nothing memorable.

Overall: so delicious and I can't wait to come back again.

The food here delivers on the promise of its menu descriptions. Nothing less than perfect. What else would enhance this experience? The area's most consistent quality spot. I discovered something special here.

Yummy okra! Fresh shrimp! This was the perfect spot for a jet lag recovery lunch since they open early, serve quickly, and have tasty options.

I love coming to Ipoh for malaysian food. While they have definitely spread out their menu to more catered to be Chinese, their Malaysian food is definitely their specialty. Tried their Thai Iced Tea and to my surprise it was really good, besides all the sugar you can taste the Thai Tea in it. Their Laksa is really good as well I finished the entire bowl and the curry. Though I would be happier if they had stuffed eggplant/peppers in it.

Food is amazing! Best spicy noodle I have ever had. So many veggies in the soup. Very flavorful and spicy. Would definitely come back for this.

Food is Very good ! The waiter is very friendly and thoughtful. The environment is elegant and comfortable we'll come again.

bro the curry here is spectacular i come here sometimes and hits different! the service is amazing too the waiters stand there politely and waits for a request! the vibes are spectacular it is like a summer vibe it's so colorful in there it even has a city drawn on to the walls it's so pretty inside the restaurant !! 100% recommended.

This place is special! You just need to know what to order. Indian Mee Goreng, Nasi Lemak, sizzling tofu, baby oyster omelette, belacan three vegetables, and ginger pork and rice are among my favorites.

I love the hainanese chicken very yummy, get it with a side of their chicken flavor rice and you will not go wrong. I literally can eat just that for days! Go and try it if you're craving! Service is quick and friendly.

I came here on a Saturday around 7pm thinking parking would be easy to find since it's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but boy was I wrong! My mom and I went inside first while my brother looked for parking. We sat down thinking it'll take around 5-10 minutes but after about 20 minutes, he ended up finding a spot further away from the restaurant. The waitresses here were super nice and understanding and didn't give us an attitude for taking up their table during prime dinner time.

We ordered a roti canai, half a Hainanese chicken with chicken flavored rice, kangkung belacan, and a sarang burung. The roti canai was decent, similar to the quality of other restaurants. The Hainanese chicken was tender and flavorful yet light - my mom loved it so much that she ordered it again two days later! The chicken-flavored rice actually tasted like chicken, unlike many other restaurants that make it bland. Kangkung belacan was perfect - despite the fermented shrimp paste, the flavor was not too salty, which is what I prefer. Lastly, the sarang burung was also great with lots of fresh shrimp and chicken. The nest had a slight crisp on the outside and the taro was soft but still had a bite. There was nothing negative that I ordered from here!

As I mentioned, it was so good we returned two days later. We also tried the Ipoh seafood wat dan hor, which was a stir-fried flat rice noodle with a seafood egg gravy. It was honestly perfect, from the flavor to the fresh seafood (shrimp, clams, squid, scallops), to the veggies. Everything was beyond my standards.

There's nothing negative about Ipoh besides the fact that there are not that many tables. When it's prime dinner time on a weekend, expect a wait to be seated because the place filled up quickly as soon as 7:30pm came around. Prices here are decent for Malaysian food, but it's worth it. I'm looking forward to trying their curry laksa mee with yong tau foo next time--I've been eyeing that since the first time I looked at the menu!

ipoh is easily my top 5 restaurants in brooklyn. it gets easily packed on weekends since its a tight and small space so large groups might be a long wait. but most tables are in and out

my family and i have pretty much tried the entire menu (lol) and we really love it here! the dishes are good and not heavy. great for a quick meal.

Came here with friends and it was such a great find! I love Malaysian food and this def took home points.

The roti is exactly the way I love roti. The curry I find is always on the oily side but I expect this is usually the case. The roti itself is soft and mildly flaky, warm and just slightly crisp. Really good. We got 2 of these to share with the table.

The nasi lameh was good overall and the curry is a bit strong but also not bad.

What my favorite thing was the birds nest! It's a special I believe. The "nest" has a crunchiness to it and is filled with shrimp, sweet pea, chicken, baby corn, etc. This is easily my favorite main dish of all that night and I would definitely come back to have it again.

Service was quick and it's not too busy inside. Amazing food!

Finally decided to come here for a dine in yesterday with some friends and I have to say I am very impressed. I've only done takeouts before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Ordered the seafood wat dan hor, the taro birds nest and half a Hainese chicken with oil rice. Everything was delicious! I think my favorite dish was the bird nest and the seafood wat dan hor. The noodles had a really good "wok" hay and was a great sized portion I came with two other people and the three dishes left us super full! This place does get packed so I do recommend coming early, but I will definitely be back!

Amazing food here.

Curry is very very good! Great service!

fast service and great flavors!

Food is so delicious. Waiter who serves us is very patient and expl

This is our go to spot for Malay. Always good food.

New Ipoh Kitchen is a gem! Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and felt freshly cooked with real care. The standout was the Ipoh Fried Pearl Noodle (F2), perfectly chewy noodles with a rich, smoky sauce that keeps you wanting another bite. It’s easily our favorite dish.

Friendly service, tasty food, great portions. We’ll definitely be back… and ordering F2 again for sure!

Delicious food!

Their curry is amazing!

laksa mee curry on a cold and windy day cannot be topped. quick service and great food.

Food is yummy get the curry and roti.

I’ve been coming here for years and the quality of the food has been consistently great!! Great service and super family-friendly as well 非常好的服務

Excellent services and food! The pork chop is not oily and super crispy! The chicken is always soft and tender. The vegetables are so flavorful and fresh! The satay beef stick is the only spot that i had that makes it so soft and juicy! Highly recommend!

Friendly staff and great food.
