My boyfriend and I have been to taste of home 3 times now, and it never fails to be an amazing date. Service is quick and staff is always friendly. Food is outstanding. Flavor is truly unmatched. If you go, try the beef udon! It does not disappoint!
I've been here twice now and it's safe to say I'm obsessed! The food is so authentic, fresh, and tasty that it cures any feelings I have of homesickness. They also sell uncooked dumplings to-go!
It's a casual spot with the option to order via QR code or by the window.
The food was delicious and the server was very nice. They still had a nutcracker up and had New Years signs on the tables which was interesting to see as it is April. The dining room was decorated in red and gold and was clean. It rained during our visit and the warm dumplings were quite tasty and comforting.
The food & tea were delicious and the staff were very kind. I had a great time and will go whenever I get the chance.
I came once before and knew that they sell frozen dumplings so I ordered 6 flavors of frozen dumplings to take to my relative in Houston and couldn't resist and bought one for myself to eat at home. The dumplings are perfectly chewy and slippery when boiled and the flavors of the filling is on point. I am definitely coming back for more. So far really loving the pork and pickled cabbage and the cuttlefish. Looking forward to trying the other flavors.
Best in town. Freshest ingredients and amazing taste. They should open a few locations throughout town. Will eat there every single day if they have one near downtown.

My husband is from China and he swears this is the best place for xiao long bao in the US. Really good milk tea as well. Beef noodle soup was a banger too. Definitely eat here.

The dumplings are delicious. And they provide a large selection of different fillings. Also the no.1 place in Austin for northern China dishes.

Fresh and delicious! A first plus, all the dishes had pictures. We love that specially for the kids! They were able to chose what they wanted and ate it! The soup dumplings (xialongbao) were really REALLY good. Reminded me of the ones I’ve had in New York City. We also had the shrimp and pork dumplings that were really good as well. The spicy beef soup tasted delish but it could’ve used a little bit more beef. The noodles on the soup had an amazing texture. The kids shared the chicken noodles and loved them. Even my picky one. And my husband had the roast pork bowl which was really tasty. Will definitely be back!
The pork feet with secret source is the best in town. As well as the beef noodle soup. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem you must got try the hot and spicy soup.

This places food is LEGIT! I'm from the northeast of China, was raised there for the first half of my life, I can confidently say the Xiao long bao was the BEST I have ever eaten anywhere. Incredible depth of flavor and texture, the pan fried bao is delicious too, and the milk tea is incredible too! Silky Rich and great flavor. Highly recommend.
They have very special dumplings that no other restaurant offers, such as cuttlefish, crawfish dumplings, all very delicious.
Great selection of food and drink and very attentive service! Will return again soon.

Authentic northern Chinese food and dumplings. Must try beef noodle.
We had the braised meat platter, A pickled egg and three different kinds of dumplings. Every single thing had its own unique flavor and it was extremely satisfying. Dumplings… Wow.
Even the chili oil had its own unique flavor.
I can’t wait to come back and try some of the other flavors of dumplings.
If you’re not coming here for dumplings or noodle soup you’re tripping.
Best Chinese restaurant in Austin; genuinely feels like home. It has authentic dongbei food.
Favorite dishes are Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling), Pot Pork (guo bao ruo), and Shredded Pork Ear.
