This is the perfect restaurant for me. Counter service, casual atmosphere with beautiful live piano music to enjoy your quality bowl of noodles with? Unique premise and I'm here for it.
I've been on the search for a good bowl of noodles in Baltimore for a while now, and have been disappointed and underwhelmed every time until I came here. The spicy braised beef soup was wonderful. Got the wide noodles with that, they had excellent chew and complemented the broth nicely. The beef was melt in your mouth tender, and the pickled radish added a nice crunch.
The real star was the Ja Jang noodles. Absolute 10/10 perfect bowl of noodles. Long, thin, chewy hand pulled noodles topped off with a savory but slightly sweet pork sauce along with fresh cucumber and carrot for crunch. No skimp on the meat. I could eat this every day.
Wow, really good stuff here. One of the Chinese restaurants you have to try around here. The flavors are from the northwestern part of China. The food is delicious, spicy and fragrant. They have a variety of noodles you can choose from for the noodle soups, which is great. Liang pi here is thick and bouncy and refreshing. Noodle soups had a light but still flavorful broth. The dry noodles with hot oil had such a nice aroma. All the food we tried was great! There aren't many restaurants near Catonsville and Ellicott City that serve this kind of food. Pepper House and a restaurant in College Park come to mind for flavors of this kind of profile (and those places are awesome too).
Great little place for a bowl of hand pull noodle. The place is small, you order at the counter and they'll bring the food to you. The noodle is fresh but it's a bit adete for me. I like my noodle semi soft. The broth is flavorful, but I like it with a bit of hot oil. There are not a lot of tables in there, so definitely a wait. If they take the piano out, you can probably put more tables there. But I heard that the owner loves to play, and he will perform for his costumers. Would definitely come back.
Omg! Just passing through Marylamd and found this gem. The best Lanzhou ramen in many years. Genuinely Lanzhou touch. I had the mao xi. Yes they make it there! Simple but concise menu. Made my day. Taste superb!
Very nice beef noodles Visited a couple times and the food always came out fast and people are very friendly. Most importantly the beef noodle tastes exactly the same as what we have in our hometownMost authentic Lanzhou beef noodle we ever had.
The broth is rich and flavorful, with a deep umami flavor that comes from the slow-cooking of beef bones and spices. The noodles are perfectly cooked, al dente and chewy. The beef is tender and juicy, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful.

This Chinese restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best five I've discovered in Maryland. I would highly recommend giving it a 5+ star rating. The lamb dish is exceptionally delicious, and although it may seem pricey initially, its quality justifies the cost once you try it.
I got the A2 Traditional Beef Noodle Soup. It tasted very good and refreshing. The noodles were the star of the dish, they had a great texture and slurp (I got the regular noodles). The cashier was also very kind towards me.
I ordered the traditional beef noodle, fish noodle, and beef salad, and I must say, they were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying them out. In my opinion, this place serves the most authentic Lanzhou Lamian in the DMV region.
Really good hand made traditional noodles. They provide good service and reasonable price. Beef noodles, lianpi and mutton chop are recommended.
Best of the best we had a great time here at this restaurant it was rainy day and it was perfect idea to grab something to eat noodles and fish.
100% authenticity, Lanzhou noodles made by people from Lanzhou. It's rare and welcome to see a Chinese restaurant that's true to its roots and not trying to offer Americanized pan-Asian fare. I will be eating my way through the entire menu.
Dining in is a magical experience. With the staff and patrons all speaking Mandarin, one is instantly transported to western China.
