I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Ling Long Xuan since the signage went up last fall. I finally had the chance to try it and I would sum up my experience in one word...wow! Finally a proper Chinese restaurant in the Journal Square area. It's far and away the best Chinese food I've tried in Jersey City. The food is authentic and everything I ordered (Szechuan wontons, spicy cumin lamb, garlic chicken) were done to a level I would expect from the best restaurants in Chinatown or Flushing or in Midtown with much higher prices. Delivery was prompt and the food was piping hot.
They have dishes I haven't seen on more than a handful of menus since I studied abroad in China. We liked the food so much that I ordered more for a second night in a row. I would recommend Ling Long Xuan to anybody and everybody looking for good Chinese food in Jersey City.

My new favorite Chinese restaurant in Jersey City! Super authentic (the owners used to run a restaurant in Flushing), and really reasonably priced. I prefer them to the other Chinese restaurants in the grove st and newport area and they deliver to both neighborhoods! Plus the restaurant is brand new so the decor and lighting feels very homey, perfect for weekend family gatherings.
We ordered the squirrel fish (fried, deboned, coated in a sweet and sour sauce l), tianjin style eggplant and fried chitterlings, all were fantastic. They even went through the effort of taking off the peel on the eggplant. They are offering a 15% off check-in deal on Yelp right now so I highly recommend giving them a try!

I can say with 100% confidence that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Jersey City. They offer a wide range of authentic dishes, mainly from the Sichuan region. Everything I have ordered here has been spectacular. For the less adventurous, the fried rices are unbelievably tasty, and for those with a spicy palate, dishes cooked in the Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilly's are mouth numbingly impressive.
It gets even better, the food is a hit but the service is even better. Everyone on the staff go above and beyond to cater to customers. From making efforts to customize dishes to making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Truly service with a smile.
Save the trip to Chinatown and try this place the next time you are in the mood for delicious and tasty authentic Chinese cuisine.
Recommendations: moo shoo pork, young chow fried rice, Chong qing chicken, sliced pork with garlic.  Soup dumplings are a bit messy, but the flavors are spot on.

I ordered the lunch special salt and pepper pork chop with brown rice and wonton soup. This is not your frozen wonton. The wrapper is thin and delicate and fresh! The meat filling is delicious! Broth is just slightly salty but I like it like that. I also had their chili oil. AMAZING. It's been years since I've eaten at Wo Hop or Hop Kee on a late night but it takes me there! The setting is very nice. A mid scale Chinese restaurant with plenty of seating and kind staff. The bathroom is also clean. They offer soup buns but I'll come back again for that!

My mom and I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the downtown jersey city area for the longest time. We both passed the store front on separate occasions and called to ask the other about it - nice bright clean and inviting. We needed to come in. They opened 3 days ago and we stopped in today for lunch.
Very friendly staff, chairs were comfortable and decor make the place feel open and clean. We ordered off the lunch menu : the double sliced pork$8.5, and also tofu shrimp $10 which came with a side of soup (wonton, or hot and sour) and rice choices (white brown or fried). We added an order of steamed buns (xiao long bao) after seeing the table next to us enjoying theirs.
Everything was very delicious, fresh and served with good portions. We are excited to come back again and again. This will be our new go to spot for authentic Chinese food!

So happy Ling Long Xuan finally opened and it was worth the wait.

Food- amazing and family style portions.
Price- great value.
Service- superb.   As soon as you enter restaurant, you are greeted by the manager and staff.  All smiles.  The waitress recommended a couple of dishes and very personable.
BYOB-  you can bring beer or wine !!
We will definitely go back soon!!
