Reviews:

We came to Go4Food for a friends' gathering and had an absolutely amazing experience! The food was top-notch from start to finish. We ordered the live lobster cooked Hong Kong style, sea cucumber coconut soup, uni steamed eggs, and uni & lobster fried rice -- every single dish came out perfect.

The lobster was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The sea cucumber coconut soup was rich, silky, and comforting -- something you don't find everywhere. The uni steamed eggs were delicate and beautifully balanced, and the uni & lobster fried rice was the perfect finale -- luxurious, flavorful, and not greasy at all.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, perfect for a small get-together. Definitely one of the best seafood spots in town -- we'll be back soon!

The food was great. I ordered string bean chicken and loved it. The salt and pepper chicken was quite good and the egg drop was some of the best I've had. The restaurant is small but bright and clean. I don't like ordering on pads, but it did the job. Would go back if ever in the area.

Came here for a late lunch and enjoyed several lunch specials with the family. Sweet and sour chicken was good. KUNG pao had the right level of heat and was great. Beef chow fun was excellent. Space is fine - smaller but service was good.

The food and Wendy the host/owner the price of her food. The flavor is something you never have before. This is the best place to eat in Chinatown GO 4 FOOD.

Not sure why there would even be anything less than 5 stars for this place (did we even go to the same restaurant!?!) I'm 100% Cantonese & grew up in Chicago having traveled to Hong Kong and China extensively - this place is the closest in freshness and taste to any dishes I've had in that region! Their seafood IS fresh/live. Their options of preparation is precisely the way a Chinese person would order it! They even have the much sought after comfort dish of Preserved Vegetable & Pork Belly. I've brought family here who just landed from Guangzhou or Toronto and they've praised every. single. dish! The staff is attentive and efficient. The chefs clearly know what they're doing as they're handling your live seafood! My favorite item here is their Razor Clams and Coral Shrimp! There is no other place in Chicago or the surrounding 'burbs that is offering this level of cuisine for the money! Yes, a 3-course live King Crab meal might set you back a few Benjamin's but LIVE KING CRAB (#IYKYK) Five stars ALL the way!

I haven't been here since Oct. 2021 and I've been waiting 5 whole years to come back here and by golly I MADE IT!!!!
This joint was so good we came here 2 days in a row! The French Style Beef was sooooooooo AMAZING! Cooked PERFECTLY!! The Oysters was big and BOMB!!! My favorite and wat I couldn't wait to eat again was the Millionaire Fried Rice. Ooooh how I missed it! Everything else was cool.... This will always be my Go To in Chicago and I will always recommend this spot to everybody!
Ya'll know Chicago parking... Good luck w that. Closes 2:30-5pm and its BYOB!

Another absolutely delicious meal at Go 4 Food. Love all their seafood offerings and their tofu dishes are my must have every time we eat there.

I'll be the first to admit that I was surprised when I saw that my takeout order for 3 items was near $80. After all, it's Chinese food and who pays that kind of money for fried rice and kung pao chicken? The answer is "I do, from now on." Quality ingredients, generous portions and great spices make it all worth it. You won't be disappointed!

I'm so excited to write this review because I'm so glad I found this restaurant!

I took a rideshare because parking is always difficult to acquire in Chinatown.

The restaurant is pretty small but I believe there is a downstairs for larger parties. The dining room is brightly lit and it smells AMAZING in this restaurant. Really, you can smell the greatness coming from their kitchen as soon as you arrive outside of the restaurant!

They are BYOB so we had Prosecco to go with the seafood we planned to order.

For appetizers we had, Crab Rangoon, Pot Stickers, both jumbo steamed oysters, and the giant clam. We enjoyed everything but disliked the Pot stickers because they were simply too big and breaded. For dinner, we ordered the Salt and Pepper shrimp, and an entire lobster! The Salt and Pepper shrimp was the best I've ever had. Perfect amount of salt and crispiness. We kind of customized our lobster by just getting butter, garlic, and scallions. We wanted to be able to taste the freshness and sweetness of the lobster meat. Don't forget the chili oil! Phenomenal meal.

This was the most reasonably priced dinner I've ever had that contained lobster! Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was amazing! We got a chance to talk with the chef and one of the owners. Very informative and friendly.

I haven't gotten a chance to go back but I have gotten the Salt and Pepper Shrimp delivered for dinner. Just as delicious as I remember! I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to go again!

This is simultaneously a place I gatekeep and take everyone to when people are visiting Chicago. Fresh seafood and generous portions makes this my favorite place in Chicago! Their cheap lunch special can't be beat. I recommend their salted egg yolk shrimp and egg tofu!

Food was hot and fresh. Service is good and pleasant
Small restaurant off the beaten path Start with egg drop soup and hot and sour
Bok choy!!!! Vegetable stir fry and vegetables fried rice delicious Oh the fresh cooked to perfection vegetables spring rolls. The hidden gem.

Small place and can get very busy. Food is excellent. More upscale than your typical Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. It's BYOB. Definitely will be back!

The food was fresh tender cooked to perfection seasoned well and because it's not just sitting around give yourself 20 to 30 minutes between calling him and picking him up.

Small but for good reason! This was some authentic Chinese food with a little twist to it. Definitely the most pricey Chinese I've had in a while but my belly was full and my tastebuds very happy. My favorite dish was by far the orange chicken! Basic? Nope! It was loaded with sweet, savory, and spicy- the perfect trifecta of flavor. Very glad we went here! Service was phenomenal as well, as the waiter was always there one step ahead of me. Very busy and fast pace but worth it.

My wife and I have been getting takeout from here for years. The food is always great. Recommend the tenderloin medallions and the mongolian beef. The location itself is smaller, so you may have to wait or be cramped. Make no mistake though, the food is worth the limited nature of the interior.

the best chinese food I¡¯ve ever had in my entire life.

The food was tasty and the customer service was great I will be back to try some new items as they have an extensive menu with a lot of tasty dishes.

Best Chinese seafood restaurant in Chicago. Make sure you get their razor clams (especially the pacific ones - texture and flavours are unreal).

LOVED THIS RESTAURANT IN CHINATOWN!! I read some reviews prior to going to Chinatown and this was the most reviewed and well liked restaurant. I completely agree! I would 100% come back to this restaurant. Great service, outstanding food, and cozy atmosphere!

I grew up eating Chinese food all the time, and I can confidently say that Go 4 Food is a true gem among all the restaurants in Chinatown. The dishes here are consistently delicious, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can just tell that the owner puts genuine care and pride into every plate served. This is the kind of place where customers are not only well-fed but leave feeling happy and completely satisfied. Highly recommended! I will definitely go back for those razor clams and for the biggest oysters I've ever seen!

The best places to eat are always the most unassuming, and Go 4 Food proves it. First, you see the name and think, ¡°Really?¡± Then you turn down a dark road and find a tiny hole-in-the-wall serving some of the best Chinese food you¡¯ll ever have.

The pork tenderloin is their signature dish, but the green beans are next-level. My son actually begged to come on my next business trip just to eat here. Fancy d¨¦cor? None. Incredible food? Absolutely.

Our second time here. The food is always top notch and leave you wishing you could eat more. I got the eggplant dish and it was incredible.

Good food went with the kids and we loved the downstairs room! Great service! Loved the Mongolian chicken!

Everything was delicious. We had the Chili Fusion Shrimp, which was very fresh and tasty. The Kung Pao was also loaded with flavor and just the right amount of heat. We have tried to eat here on past visits, very happy we were able to get a table this time. Will def be returning for the fresh tasty seafood.

Go 4 Food is a solid spot for Cantonese flavors. We had the tea-smoked duck, salted egg tofu, and sizzling squid. The duck was especially flavorful with a nice crisp, while the tofu was rich but tasty. The squid arrived sizzling at the table - a true showstopper!. We wished we¡¯d tried more of the fresh seafood dishes, but we¡¯ll reserve those for next visit. Overall, a solid stop for Cantonese flavors in Chinatown.

This place lived up to my expectations and exceeded it.

They even have the much sought after comfort dish of Preserved Vegetable & Pork Belly. I¡¯ve brought family here who just landed from Guangzhou or Toronto and they¡¯ve praised every. single. dish! (And you know they¡¯re the picky kind of Asians!) The staff is attentive and efficient. The chefs clearly know what they¡¯re doing as they¡¯re handling your live seafood! My favorite item here is their Razor Clams and Coral Shrimp! There is no other place in Chicago or the surroundings that is offering this level of cuisine for the money! Oh my god - I don¡¯t even have words for how obsessed I am with this restaurant! The Chili fusion sauce is the best thing I have ever eaten. I want it by the jar in my kitchen - the D crab was phenomenal - also great on the shrimp! Their spicy fish melts like butter in your mouth, their beef with Sichuan sauce was fantastic, and their clams with wine sauce was the best I¡¯ve had. SO GOOD! Highly recommended!
