This place is an awesome delicious hole in the wall. There is no seating inside, however there is outdoor seating.
They have this thing called a Chinese hamburger (rou jia mo) which is the thing that I would recommend ordering.
It's handmade and all the ingredients are absolutely fresh and the pork one is just so juicy.
You can also order a side of dumplings to eat there, or even some to take home with you to cook.

I've been super excited about this place since I first saw it on Yelp so I was super glad to finally get a chance to go. It's right next to NAMU, which is a great study spot, so super convenient to get food, eat, and then go next door for coffee and studying.
My friend and I came on a Saturday late afternoon around 4 PM. I had the shrimp, pork, and cabbage dumplings, as well as a pork belly burger. Our food came out in around 10 minutes, and we went over to a small room they have on the side to eat. The dumplings were great, and I could definitely tell they were homemade. They reminded me of the ones my family makes at home, although they do have slightly less filling. They were slightly pricey though. The pork belly burger was definitely my favorite. It had a very generous amount of filling and was very flavorful. There was also a very good combination of lean/fatty meat and it was definitely my favorite out of the two.
My only gripes are that the dumplings are relatively expensive, and that they serve all the food in disposable styrofoam, which I hate. I would still come back though, just because the food was amazing.

hard for us to find at first, but it's RIGHT next to NAMU, and there is parking on the opposite side of the namu building/complex/thing
Actually in love with this place. It makes me miss my mom's dumplings at home! I was not disappointed in the SLIGHTEST. In my excitement and hunger, I ordered the spinach noodles with beef/mushroom topping, pork+chive dumplings, and pork belly "burger" (which is more flavorful/thinner than a bun with marinated pork belly and spices inside)
* such sweet staff! talked to an owner/chef(?) and asked her about the rotating items. she said the chicken wonton soup is incredible/takes her days to prepare beforehand (I'll have to try it next time) I asked her if she would ever make noodle soup and she said THIS WEEK!!! is niu rou mian, hopefully she'll bring it back next week too.
* wow. all the food was so good lol. The dumplings were NEXT LEVEL though. at around ~$9 for 10 pieces and dumpling sauce, they're filling, thin skinned, soupy, goodness. I literally want to try all of them.
* the pork belly burger was a star. the marinated pork belly was all I ever wanted and more. the buns had a crunch to them and weren't too thick.
* The spinach noodles were good and the sauce was incredibly filling and savory. I liked the noodles, but would probably choose 2 dumplings instead of one of each when I go back next time. (unless it's niu rou mian)
I could not be happier I tried this place! Will definitely be back!

I've been so excited to try this place and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to because I was NOT disappointed. I've never had authentic Chinese dumplings before, but these have definitely set the bar  for me. We ordered the pork and chives dumplings with the spicy beef noodles. All were reasonably priced and the people working were super sweet! I think splitting those two dishes between two people was enough food to get us to a good full. Definitely get the spicy sauce for the dumplings (... I didn't think it was spicy) and mix up your spicy beef noodles super well to spread out all of the flavors evenly. Bring your own water bottle because they only have bottled water for sale!
If you're going on the weekend, just keep in mind that the wait will be a bit long for the food, but hey, it's fresh.
FYI, parking is a bit of a hassle on the weekends, but just park towards the back and walk on up to the front to find the restaurant. Thought I'd mention this because we got a little confused when we tried to find the place.

This place is the definition of a hidden gem. Now that they've been put on the map by Bon Appetit mag, I've heard it's difficult to get their freezer items since they sell out so fast. This place is tiny inside, the only seating is outside and it's in that weird shopping center next to Namu, but don't let that stop you!
We ordered the spicy pork burger, the spinach noodles with beef shank (hot), beef and cilantro dumplings, and pork and chive dumplings. Everything was so fresh and delicious. My two favorites were the spinach noodles and the beef and cilantro dumplings. Both so flavorful and delciious

Wowwww these are good! I've been hearing about this small take out place and how amazing the dumplings are, I'm so happy I finally got to try them. They were phenomenal!
A very very small family owned shop, the Liu family is so kind and receptive when you walk in. The menu is on the wall, you order, pay and take a number and wait. There is seating outside if you want to eat there- otherwise be prepared to take them to go.
Priced just right at $9 for 10- it's a no brainer. Go get your dumplings and enjoy! The dough is so soft and has a perfect chew. The flavor of the ingredients inside is amazing, paired with perfect dipping sauces. I can't wait to eat more!

Holy moly this place is good. I'm so impressed. Everything I had was so good!!!! The pork, shrimp and mushroom dumplings were amazing and the noodles were just as great. We also had the Chinese burger with spicy pork which was good too but we were so full from all of this that I couldn't enjoy it as much.
You're greeted with smiles all around when you walk in and everyone is just so happy to be there. We also ran into Bon Appetit Mag there because they did a piece on them as one of the best new spots in the U.S. and honestly, I have to agree. Their space is small and there is no indoor seating but they do have limited outdoor seating. They sell their dumplings frozen as well and you can take them home and steam at your leisure. If you haven't been here, go now.

This food is killer. These are the best Dumplings I've had in the triangle, and the spicy beef noodles were so filling and delicious! Service was pretty quick on a busy Saturday, and the food was fresh and truly delicious. I will for sure be back many times over.

Given the exceptional quality of ingredients and skill behind the food, this restaurant is a bargain. These dumplings and noodles are exceptional.
On a second visit, I tried the pork spring noodles--cool, light and chewy noodles are topped with spicy morsels of pork with a little bit of veg garnish. I wanted to sop up every bit of the chili-flecked sauce.
Today, I tried the sour ice noodles. Glassine and chewy sweet potato starch noodles swim in a chilled spicy and sour broth with slices of marbled beef, tomato and cilantro. It is northern China's answer to Korean naeng myun. Sounds different--try it! It's incredibly refreshing on warm, humid N.C. days.
Most of all, the service was excellent--friendly, prompt and attentive. I would love to see this business grow!

This is the type of food we need more of in Durham. I had the pork and Napa cabbage dumplings which were juicy, pillowy and savory. I also tried the spicy pork burger which is savory braised pork stuffed in a chewy, pan-crispy bing bread. Most of all, the service was excellent--friendly, prompt and attentive. I would love to see this business thrive!

Growing up in an Asian household making dumplings, this place hits home. It's even better than dumplings I've made at home. Their sandwiches slash burgers are amazing. Definitely eat it hot. I lived the vegetarian burger. The buns were perfectly toasted. I also loved the egg mushroom cabbage dumplings as I've never had dumplings like this before. Of course you can really never go wrong with any of their dumpling options.
Theres a sitting area around the corner where you can sit and eat in the shade.

We've gotten food here - dumplings plus "burgers" - and we've gotten frozen dumplings to go (12 minutes on the steamer). Either way, they're the best dumplings in town.
