By far, one of my favorite places in Chinatown.  Excellent food, fast service, great prices.  I absolutely recommend coming with a few people so you can share & taste everything.  I love that the food here isn't greasy or Americanized Chinese food.
I always start with the steamed pork & shrimp dumplings with oyster sauce ($8.50).
Soups - you can never go wrong with the roast pork w/ noodles or roast duck with noodles ($8.50).  Or even better - same soup plus wontons in the soup ($10).  It's warm, comforting, tasty broth with a good amount of me.
Noodles & rice - steamed Hong Kong style lo main with roast pork ($11).  Young chow friend rice ($12) is a combination shrimp, pork & vegetable.
The Peking duck.  This is my absolute favorite.  $45 for the whole duck, $25 for half - with steamed buns, scallions, and hoisin sauce.  Or $18 for half a duck (just the half duck, nothing with it).

Came here for lunch today. We ordered Wonton soup noodles, Roast duck soup lai fun, thousand years egg and pork congee, and fried dough chung fun.  Everything was very tasty. I especially enjoyed the congee.
There was only one lady server, but she was very nice and as attentive as she could be.
Cash is king in Chinatown. There was a clear sign that said x% charge for credit card.  There is an ATM machine inside the restaurant.
We will be back again.

They're authentic chinese. Someone told me if their hot and sour soup is legit, it is authentic! Their fish congee was like eating comfort food. Oh and chinese dough with congee? Perfect pairing!
I've become their regular customer. It's that good..!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I wasn't having the best food time in my favorite city. The food had been well executed but underwhelming. So I was slightly grieving from  underspiced Lamb kebabs and disappointing "authentic Tacos " I trekked to Brooklyn for. Ming Wong was the last thing I was doing and I was exhausted...
The meal was astounding for me.
1. The broth of the wonton soup was light yet rich in flavor. 9.5/10.
2. The wonton skin is thinnnnn and the pork and shrimp filling was perfection. So succulent and yummy with those mystery Chinese ingredients.....10/10.
3. Duck skin was thin and glass kind of sexy. Yummy but not mind blowing. 9/10.
4. Noodles were wonderful and the gravy/broth was outstanding 10/10.
The gentleman who does the roast meats greets everyone warmly. I was immediately made to feel welcome and ok alone. Lady who took care of the bill and i had a lovely exchange and she also came outside looking for me Because I'd left my jacket.
The restaurant is bustling, the menu is a mile long and they got their systems down pat.
Can't wait to explore the menu.

I visited Ming Wong with my partner recently who raved that this place really tasted like authentic Chinese cuisine. All in all, it's a no-frills/simple place, but what they lack in decor, they make up in portions and prices! We ordered the Fried Rice and the Wonton Lo Mein (in Cantonese!) and the food came out right away. Everything tasted fresh and was big enough to share. I was blown away at the quality, speed, and portions and was glad we happened upon this place!
If you're in Chinatown, I'd highly recommend stopping by and checking this out for yourself! Support a small and local business--you won't regret it :).

Affordable and high quality. During my work trip to NYC, I went here twice for a late night snack. I got their fish ball noodle soup and roast duck noodle soup.
The fish ball were soo flavorful and chewy. The broth has a light umami vibe. The roast duck absolutely melted in your mouth. I had a friend try fish ball and roast duck for the first time and she loved them both!
Service is quick and friendly. Support this hardworking establishment please!!

Best spare ribs , lomein and soup wontons.
I've been eating and seeking the best spare ribs since I was 7.  ?
These are as good as they get anywhere.
And if you like your lomein al dente and want to taste the noodle then this is your spot.

Finally the wonton soup is very lite and balanced... but the wonton explodes with flavor. Which makes you appreciate the delicate flavor of the soup. you look for it and then have harmony.
Lastly, the window tells the story. I just loved the way the food looked hanging.
I guess sometimes you can judge a book by its cover.
Enjoy!

Sesame chicken was the best I've ever had. It had a little air which gave it a sweet crunch. It was also nice to have a 0 min wait with steaming tea ready for us at the table. Overall I give Ming Wong's a 5 star review.

Randomly walked in while in china town and was pleasantly surprised. I love sitting down to a full pot of tea which they brewed very well. The rice crepes were one of the best I've had in china town. Can't wait to go back and try more of their food

Great place for classic Cantonese roast duck - tasty, juicy, hits the spot. Also got the salt and pepper bone in pork which was sublime - light and flaky with just the right amount of spice. The gai lan was fresh with good portions. Clean for Chinatown. If you're complaining about the service you don't understand Chinese restaurants. They were polite and efficient, the way it should be. Dishes come out when they are just cooked, piping hot, and ready. This is not a French meal. It's a delicious Chinese meal you will not regret.

I can't even emphasize enough how important it is to support small and local businesses!! I came here with my friend because she really likes the rice rolls, and I ordered some food to go. They're really fast, food is pretty cheap, and packaging for to-go orders is great. I had the peking duck + BBQ pork combo over rice and century egg + pork congee, and both were delicious. My total was $15, which isn't bad considering it was a lot of food. I would recommend bringing cash because I believe they have a fee on credit cards or they require a $30 minimum (I can't remember), but overall, I would highly recommend this place. They have a lot of Hong Kong food, and you can bet that it's extremely authentic.
