Reviews:
Great food. I’m glad the changed some of the interior to open up more tables for seating.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. The place is clean and tidy as well.
Good Taiwanese cuisine with wok chi. Every dishes we ordered tasted good. I will be back to try some other dishes.
I love the dessert here it good and it have fruit and my friend and the kid like it a lot and I think it look good too not to sweet .
Hidden gem, very yummy food and the portions are huge. We got everything in the picture for $40 including tax.The popcorn chicken over rice and the pork chop noodles were both amazing.
I bring my friends here all the time for Taiwanese food, and they all love it. The portions are generous, the ingredients are super fresh, and the front-of-house service is always on point. The place is clean and well-kept too.
Tihu has become our favorite Taiwanese restaurant in NY! 燒酒雞 is very delicious
Pretty authentic taiwanese food.
Having just returned from the vibrant streets of Taiwan, my taste buds were still singing with the authentic flavors I experienced. I was honestly a little skeptical about finding anything that could truly compare back home, but this place absolutely blew me away!
From the first bite, it was clear that this isn't your average street food. There's a noticeable elevation in the quality and presentation, but thankfully, the authentic taste remains completely intact. It's like a delicious flashback to the night markets of Taipei – the same incredible aromas, the same satisfying textures, and those unmistakable, bold flavors that define Taiwanese cuisine.
If you're craving a true taste of Taiwan without the long flight, look no further. This spot has managed to capture the magic and deliver an experience that genuinely competes with the real deal. Highly, highly recommended!
Great—fresh food & well priced!
Good authentic Taiwanese food.
If you want authentic Taiwanese cuisine, this is it! A lot of their dishes wowed us, and we have a table full of Taiwanese! Pull up and support! Especially during weekdays. The owners are so sweet too.
Nice Taiwanese styled restaurant.
The food has a familiar taste of home. The oyster pancake is one of the best! It has a lot of oysters! It is absolutely amazing and fresh.
The beef noodles were good, I was expecting a
Slight heat.
The chicken in wine is soo soo delicious you taste the wine and the way the chicken tastes is just wordless.
The tomatoe beef reminds me of my mom's cooking. It was so good the tomatoes taste like tomatoes not tomatoe light. You know you know.
Will come back for more of the taste from home.
This restaurant offers a wide variety of Taiwanese dishes. We tried some signature Taiwanese items, and every dish was delicious. From beef noodle soup and stir-fried specialties to classic Taiwanese snacks, the quality ingredients and rich flavors really stood out. Definitely worth a visit for those who love authentic Taiwanese cuisine.
My wife and I have had Taiwanese food plenty of times and never really gravitate back to the cuisine often. But Tihu was different, all the dishes were so good. The dishes that have the food battered in the golden egg and fried is definitely our favorite.
Both my kids love it that my oldest said she wanted to come here for her birthday which is in a few months.
The menu is clear but note that the pictures and what you actually get will differ by a lot for many of the items. Even so, the food was very tasty. The staff spoke some but limited English, they were all very nice.
We met a few customers that were Taiwanese and they reallt enjoy the food here, so that definitely says a lot. The only downside is that there is a parking lot, there is street parking, and a parking lot across the street that belongs to Jmart.
If you're curious about Taiwanese food, this is the place to come, you will not be disappointed.
Authentic Taiwanese food in Little Neck!
We came with a large party and felt taken care of. The restaurant has large format dishes which require advanced ordering (such as the sticky rice crab), but they are delicious are worth the hassle!
Excellent, authentic Taiwanese cuisine! You'll find many of the staple comfort food - pork chop with white rice, beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, oyster omelette, stinky tofu. Everything is pretty tasty, and represents the best Taiwanese in NYC. Plenty of Taiwanese repeat customers can't be wrong
Wonderful service, friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. Note: they no longer offer hotpot.
We come to try Taiwanese cuisine at Tihu and found a few dishes really good: 3 cups chicken, Sichuan boiled fish filet, salt and pepper chicken and braised pork rice.
Really delicious, authentic Taiwanese food. The portion sizes are generous
The restaurant now has the same foods/dishes as its other location in Bayside/Auburndale. This location has more seats
Must get the sizzling/hot pork intestine with pig's blood, the oyster pancake and the fried porkchop over rice.
Had a good experience coming here - be warned it use to be a hotpot place but that is no longer and the sign on the front is also labeled differently. It is solely serving Taiwanese food "snacks". I really liked their salted egg tofu amongst a few other things. It's quick and casual and if you have a large party like we did they seat you in a private room. It also gets quite busy later during dinner time so be sure to make a reservation.
Taiwanese Food is amazing because the chef is great! Service was great as well. Great for lunch and/or dinner!
