Reviews:

Always very busy, but best dumpling noodle house around for sure.

Get noodle soups, get dumplings, duh. Stir fries are good too. Can't really go wrong with this menu. Good for larger parties (18 people or less).

While waiting for a table, wander around the Daiso in the plaza.

Place very clean. Place very busy. Had the Chicken Chow mien. Hot tea hits the spot. Staff and food 5 stars thanks again for a great time. Parking a bit of a challenge. But food is so worth it.

Came on a Sunday evening- around 4-5P, had a party of 8 people and were accommodated immediately! Located in a plaza with a; grocery store, shengkee bakery, daiso, boba, burger king- plenty of parking and other options.
Note: definitely see if they take reservation or come earlier because this restaurant fills up FAST
Once you have put in your orders, food starts arriving at your table one-by-one SO quickly

Some of the items we ordered were: honey walnut shrimp, tomato and eggs noodles, combo chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, salt and pepper prawns, spicy garlic noodles, stir fried green beans, bok choy, spinach, egg roe fried rice, egg soup, spare ribs, salt and pepper pork ribs, shumei, soup dumplings, more
Needless to say, i had a little bit of everything-
Not a single dish disappointed us!
Everything that was suppose to be crunchy, was crunchy, all the dishes were flavorful, protein stayed super juicy, fresh vegetable stir fries

Spectacular food, amazing service with the constant water and tea refills
They are quite popular so come try when you can!
Great place for a family dinner or a quick lunch.

Everything was fresh and flavorful. Everything came out piping hot and the service was good too.

Delicious food--we drive an hour and cross a bridge each way to get here! Daiso and grocery market next door while you wait. Service is very fast, and the restaurant is very modern. Lots of bright lights, fans, and you can see into the kitchen to see how the food is being made! Some food notes: zhejiang noodles are super long--use the scissors they provide. There are plenty of scallops in the seafood scallop fried rice. Finally, the garlic spinach is a yummy way to get your dose of veggies.

The food is top tier!! Comparable to DTF, but better and more authentic!! Service is extremely fast and efficient. I def recommend coming at off-peak times because it gets super busy and wait times can be long!

Parking is tough and there's a lot for lots of other restaurants and Daiso.

Be sure to join the yelp waitlist in advance if you're going during peak times!

Great service, amazing food, and very warm atmosphere. I'll always recommend this place.

We typically have things ordered to go since our kids are small...and we want to enjoy our meal and not run around.

I tell you, the noodle is good. Coming from a SoCal native the food is great!

Typical thins we order and also what the kids like are :
1. Beef noodle soup (not spicy) and I've tried the fatty version (brisket) and braised beef (beef slices, not much fat on meat) and hand cut noodles are good!! Recommend!

2. Vegetable dumplings are so good! My 1.5 year old eats it like a champ all the time.

3. Combination fried rice, not sure why but it's good for comfort food kind of feeling.

Also the XLBs are okay as well, I've had better, but that's me from a SoCal pallet.

Saut¨¦ed green beans were also okay, not raving to much as I prefer a taste/texture like Din Tai Fung.

Overall this place is decent and I would recommend the soup a vegetable dumplings.

Great family restaurant with excellent service! I've been to Din Ding Dumpling House in Union City many times, and it never disappoints. Their shrimp fried rice is one of my go-to favorites--perfectly balanced, not too salty, very flavorful, and they definitely don't skimp on the shrimp.

On this visit, I tried the braised beef in a pot, which came with mushrooms, mixed vegetables, and potatoes in a savory sauce that was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the shrimp & loofah xiao long bao. This place is well known for their XLB, and this one did not disappoint--fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

I arrived here for lunch on a Tuesday and was surprised to see that there was a wait! Though I'm glad because they at least have a Yelp waitlist to join and easily track your place in line through the app. I arrived with a party of 4 around 1:20 pm and the wait said around 24-40 minutes so we decided to take a stroll over at Daiso next door to kill some time and within 15 minutes I received a text saying that my table was ready and then received a call from the restaurant within a minute of the text!

The food was better than I had expected.

~~Parking: The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking if you're willing to walk!

~~Service: Good. It wasn't that difficult to hail down a wait staff even though we were seated in the middle of the restaurant closer to the wooden divider.

~~Best Part: XLB's. These were huge! They were juicy and the outside was cooked to perfection (I've gone to some places where it feels a bit rubbery like it's underdone).

~~Tips: Try everything you think would be good at the restaurant. The table next to us ordered noodles and the honey walnut shrimp and I could smell it and regretted not ordering it!! Though we already had left overs so we definitely would not have been able to finish all of the food. We ordered 5 items for 4 people.

~~Return: YES! Though I probably would go to the Fremont location since that's closer to me.

Best Chinese food in the East Bay! Service is 10/10 as well as the variety. Each dish was amazing (especially the honey walnut shrimp) Definitely must try!!

I loved this place! Even though it was busy Christmas Eve, we got sat pretty quickly. The service was quick and the food came out even more quickly. The food tasted absolutely fresh and hot and it stayed busy the entire time. Every dish we ordered had no issues with them. I want to return and try everything on the menu. Though it was crowded I never felt rushed or pressured and I enjoyed the time I had there as well as the decorations. Absolutely amazing.

One of the best food spots in the Bay Area! This is always my go to rec for Chinese dumplings in the Bay Area. (Dare I say better than Ding Tai Fung at Valley Fair...)

I really liked their pork XLB: they're super juicy and have the perfect layer of thin skin surrounding the meat. I also really enjoyed their special hot oil noodles: the noodle had a nice chewy + bouncy texture to them, while the sauce had a great ratio of savory to spicy.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for Chinese food in the Bay and would love to return to try even more items!

Nice decor
Friendly efficient staff
Tasty meal

We can because someone said the xiaolongbao is just as good as Ding Tai Feng. It didn't disappoint.

Everything was great. Only complaint is string beans were bit salty.

We will definitely come and try the noodles.

20 out of 10!!! Everything we had was amazing! Definitely get the Mongolian beef and the pork xlb dumplings service was great and very fast! For sure coming back again!!!!!

Friendly staff, food has a good flavor, served hot, ambiance is nice, relaxing. You can watch the staff make fresh dim sum & noodles! Very clean. Highly recommend. Does get busy & there is wait list you can add yourself onto. Jason the manager is awesome!

Great food. We ordered the salt pepper pork chop and vegetables as well as XLB. Food took a bit to come out but they were busy on a Sunday nice. Restaurant is nicely decorated.

We have had several large gatherings there, and they have always been accommodating. Food is always delicious and service is fast and attentive. The noise level is appropriate for a bustling restaurant. Great goto for great food!

Did a last minute search for lunch recommendations in the area, which we were not familiar with, and the group was VERY happy with Din Ding Dumpling House! We got in with a group of 7 right before the lunch rush (there definitely seems to be an uptick in crowds 12:15-30ish. and got a table straight away. Staff are fast, if not all...warm (but isn't that the charm of a Chinese restaurant haha). We panicked when we thought we overordered, but in fact it was a good amount (with a few leftovers) and everything was delicious. We got:

-2x pork xiao long bao: Very juicy and flavorful!
-beef & onion xiao mai: something different and very nice! liked this one a lot more than the chicken/corn
-chicken & corn xiao mai: 'sok
-chive dumplings
-shrimp & pork pot stickers
-combination chow mein
-crispy pork with peach sauce - DEFINITELY GET!!! This was so friggin good!
-piggy buns - nice custard and so cute
-chocolate & strawberry xlb - this was super fun and overall we enjoyed more than the piggy buns

plenty of parking in the private lot. The restaurant is right next to Daiso.

The spicy beef brisket noodle was another highlight, with generous portions of beef and tasty noodles. If you enjoy heat, I'd recommend asking for it a bit spicier.

Overall, it was a very joyful meal, and Din Ding Dumpling House will definitely remain on my list of places I'm always happy to come back to.

Din Ding will always hold a special spot in my heart because I used to come weekly with my grandma. My go to items are the Pork & Crab XLB, Chicken & Shrimp siu mais and Salt & Pepper pork chops.

When the XLB aka soup dumplings arrive, make sure to prioritize them before other dishes because of the soup inside the dumplings. It comes hot so just be mindful! Sauce up the XLB, bite a corner of the dough, sip the soup and eat the dumpling.

The service is always good, the staff are very attentive. This is their original location so it does get packed pretty quickly. There are seating arrangements for both smaller and larger parties. There's lots of parking in the lot and they're also surrounded by businesses you could walk your food off in after.

Excellent food!
Service was good!
Clean restaurant and friendly staff!
Hieu was nice, we got in before closing time.

Best food in the area and very affordable and delicious Great Costumer Service I would Recommend it.

It is one of our favorite places to eat yummy authentic Chinese meals. Services are pretty good despite sometimes it could be crowded causing 15~20 mins waiting time. Everything is delicious!

The service was good
foods amazing..
I recommend the Mongolian Beef, Ham Fried Rice, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Pork Belly Burger, NE Style Crispy Pork with Peach Sauce.

The restaurant has a very nice ambience. It gets pretty crowded over the weekend and they take waitlist on yelp, which makes it easy to check on the table status.

We tried a few dumplings and xiao long bao. The soup dumplings tasted nice and was full of soup. Chicken dumplings and pot stickers were good too. We ended with the piggy buns for dessert which are steamed custard buns. Overall a good place!

Spacious Shanghainese dumpling eatery, plenty of different options to choose from. We came by on a busy Saturday afternoon for lunch but for a table of 2 we got seated quite quickly. Service was quick, fast to order and get water/tea out.

We ordered 4 dishes; 3 dumpling dishes and 1 noodle dish.

Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - Came out first within 5 minutes of ordering, extremely fast. Soup was flavorful yet light, the noodles had a great texture and a springy type of bite. Great chew to it. Beef was super tender, we both really enjoyed this noodle dish, i would say it was a smaller portion than i imagined, the bowl was big but it wasn't big in actual portion compared to its price.

Pork Xiaolong Bao - Very plump and filled with soup and meaty as well. Came out piping hot, and this was great. I would say the soup inside was actually a bit bland, really did need the condiments of vinegar and ginger, but overall a pretty good XLB containing lots of soup and was hot. Enjoyed it, would get again.

Fish Dumplings - Great dumplings, great ratio of filling to dumpling and was plenty juicy inside too. Fish didn't have that overly fishy smell or aroma, and had a good bite. Definitely enjoyable and would get again.

Pumpkin, Shrimp, Pork Shui Mai - This was definitely our favorite dish and was surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Big pieces of shui mai, every bite was flavorful, it was pleasant to the eye seeing the curvature and plumpness of the dumplings. Great flavor profile of savory, umami, slightly sweet (in the sense of seafood) definitely a must try!

I'd definitely come again, i totally enjoy the place over places like din tai fung where they serve lukewarm dumplings. This place has a great atmosphere, many large tables here, great for gathering. Will come back to try different dishes!

We have been there a couple of times already and each time we go we order something different. Everything we have ordered comes out hot and fresh and very tasty leaves you full and content. The ambiance is casual seating is accommodating from a party of one to a round table that seats at least 10 with a lazy Suzan in the middle. It's definitely a must try!

Amazing soup dumplings, spicy wontons, and potstickers! This restaurant is definitely my go-to place for soup dumplings. My trips here never disappoint. This is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. The service is good overall, and it is a very loud environment. I highly recommend trying this place for fast service and delicious soup dumplings.

Great dumplings. Been looking for good Dim Sum.

Food comes out piping hot. Lots of good choices on the menu. Staff is very polite and professional. Today I came near closing time and they kept the kitchen open just for my family. With that level of respect, I am happy to spend my money here.

Excellent soup dumplings! The hand-pulled noodles were delicious too. The customer service wasn¡¯t friendly, but at least they were fast. I can¡¯t wait to go back.
