Reviews:

Glad I gave Babahan a chance after seeing a positive review in D Magazine last month. The current menu is small but mighty, and the whole group we came with after church on Sunday enjoyed their food. The owners were super sweet and shared that they're hoping to expand the menu eventually, so I hope business is good and they can add more stuff! My husband and I ordered the yogurt drink, two lamb skewers, the beef samsas, and the guyro laghman (a noodle dish. There was a really good chew on the noodles, the lamb skewers were tender and flavorful, and the beef samsas were incredible. Flaky pastry to juicy filling ratio was elite! I loved the iced yogurt drink too. Mung bean salad was a little bland but the textures were great and it was very refreshing. We will be back!

This hole in the wall Uyghur restaurant was recently featured in D Magazine and for good reason - they're serving damn good food while respecting the flavors and traditions of their people. Do NOT come here if you can't handle soy sauce or MSG.

Service here is simple but sweet, namely because it's the couple who own this place serving you. Feel free to ask them anything about the menu and they'll recommend a dish based on your preferences.

As for the food, it's a lamb lovers delight and a delicious meal for everyone else. Start with the Lamb Kebabs and Samsa regardless of your party and then explore from there, I like their fried noodles a lot as well.

So if you're still reading and not eating my only suggestion is to try this place out ASAP!

The most authentic tasting Uyghur food I've had in the US so far. The staff super friendly and accommodating. Both the kabobs and leg of lamb were super tender and not the strong gaminess that lamb can sometimes have. Will definitely return. Be sure to check out the authentic savory version of milk tea.

Loved this restaurant. We had the ´óÅ̼¦ (big plate chicken) and it was amazing. This is the 4th place in DFW I've tried ´óÅ̼¦ at and it was definitely the BRST so far. The flavoring was so aromatic. I highly recommend it. The owner who served is was very friendly and patient with us. Overall it was a great experience. We don't need a halal diet but it is a a halal restaurant.

Is actually fire. Uyghur Turkish + Chinese fusion and it works crazy good. The food is fresh, flavors on point. Highly recommend checking it out."

I've always wanted to try Uyghur cuisine. I'm so glad Babahan was my first experience. The restaurant is immaculately clean and serenely decorated. Our server was so kind when explaining the menu and making suggestions. We loved the aromatic samsas. The lamb skewers were grilled to perfection and dusted with flavorful cumin and chili. Pearl noodle was our favorite, but the Gan Bian Soman and Chopped Guyro Langham were also excellent.

Absolutely the best Uyghur food in north Dallas area. All dishes are cook to order so it's very fresh and taste exactly the same as the food we got in Xinjiang.

Came here a couple weeks ago and was blown away by how delicious this authentic Uyghur food was with such friendly owners. We had some kebab skewers and they were so juicy and flavorful! I was also really impressed with how beautiful the interior was decorated with lovely lanterns and paintings! I'm definitely coming back!

I was pleasantly surprised how delicious Uyghur food is. It was my first time trying this cuisine and i will be back to try more.

My apologies¡ªI meant to give 5 stars, but it didn¡¯t go through. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality, the great conversation, and the delicious kabob. I truly enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back with my family.

Excellent food!

Great noodle! Everything is so nice and fresh! All dishes are freshly made!

This place is a hidden gem. We had the soup, the lamb skewers, and the Gan Bian Soman.

All three are incredibly delicious.

Amazing food amazing hospitality everything we had was literally amazing today new taste buds unlocked.

Everything was really good. Food was very well seasoned and everyone was very nice.

Alright folks I¡¯m from the DC area and so I spent years eating at the vaunted Dolan Uyghur Restaurant whenever I needed my laghman fix. This place absolutely blows that out of the water. Every dish is perfectly seasoned oiled and balanced. We ordered over half the menu and every single thing was a banger. They make every thing from scratch from their hand pulled noodles to literally fermenting their own yogurt and you can taste it in the food. Run don¡¯t walk to get here!

Traditional Uyghur food at its best!! The laghman is delicious. Reminded us of Xinjiang.

Absolutely delicious! I had never tried Uyghur food before but it's really good.

Just had grp lunch with 2 wonderful docs( Patrick & Amie) great authentic Uyghur food..

Delicious food, great service, wonderful experience. We especially loved the Samsa.

Finally found the taste of home right here in Texas.
This place truly surprised me¡ªthe flavors are authentic, rich, and incredibly comforting. From the first bite, it instantly brought me back to hometown cooking.

The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous, so you definitely get great value for what you pay.

Just learned that the owner was from the same hometown district as my wife¡¯s. We chatted a lot with each other in the evening on a Thursday. The place is heartily decorated and beautiful.
My wife says their Goryu Laghman is authentically like what she had in her hometown.
Best wishes to their restaurant business.

Loved the guyro laghman!

The restaurant is small but seems to have a lot of people from the Uyghur community that come here to enjoy the food. I got the Samsa and Gyro Legumen and it is so warm and comforting. Highly recommend!

I was running an errand and was feeling hungry and found this gem! I had such a wonderful experience at Babahan Uyghur Cafe. Everything was incredible from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming.

The food was absolutely delicious¡ oh my the soup and Kababs were amazing! Their food is clearly made with so much care and love. You can really taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. Uyghur cuisine is so unique! I¡¯m especially happy I went with my server¡¯s recommendation to try the traditional tea it was so good and comforting on this cold and rainy day.

This is truly a beautiful mom and pop restaurant, and you can feel the heart behind it. Everything was also very clean and well-kept, which I appreciate.

I¡¯m so glad I came and will definitely be returning. I can not wait to come back and try the pulao and noodles!

Everything is Halal.
Nicely decorated dining area. Neat and clean ambience with light music.
Perfect for family dinner spot.
Food is mouthwatering, quantity is awasome. You must try these ...
CHhuchura (Dumping soup)
Uyghur Polo (kind of Pallow)
Guyro Laghman
Gan Bian Soman
Uyghur Lamb kabob

Everything was very delicious; we ate it all in one sitting.

I had a truly wonderful experience at Babahan Uyghur & Uzbek Cuisine. The food exceeded my expectations in both taste and quality. The traditional Uyghur dishes are prepared with great care and presented beautifully.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing. As soon as you walk in, you feel relaxed and comfortable. The cleanliness is also outstanding¡ªeverything from the tables to the presentation is very hygienic and well-organized.
Another big plus is that the food is halal, which made the experience even better for me. It¡¯s definitely a place where you can dine with peace of mind. I highly recommend it for its delicious food, cleanliness, and lovely ambiance.

Very cozy place. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife, and they are incredibly welcoming, kind, and friendly. It really feels like visiting someone¡¯s home. Everything was very clean and well organized. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted very authentic.

We ordered two Guyru Lagman, Atkan tea with bread, and Chuchvara for our son. Everything was prepared perfectly and the portions were great. We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back again.

Delicious and fresh. All items we tried were very tasty. Not too heavy and not too light when it came to seasoning. The noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked. Staff is very pleasant and helpful when explaining menu items as it was our first time trying Uyghur cuisine. The herbal tea was a nice touch to an already tasty lunch. Portions are generous so if you¡¯re dining for two a not too hungry, an order of samsa and noodles would do just fine.

Hands down the BEST place for authentic Uyghur food! The lamb skewers are incredibly juicy and flavorful. The Uyghur polo and chuchura truly brought me back to my hometown and childhood memories.

The service is warm and attentive ¡ª they really take great care of every customer. Definitely a place worth visiting again to try more dishes! Highly recommend!
