This place is amazing! AUTHENTIC!
Let me start with service: everyone in the place we're super friendly and nice! They make you feel like you are visiting a friend's house for dinner!
Now the food: Fantastic is the only word I can describe the place with! The beef noodle soup was the bomb! The noodle was made to perfection! I'm super picky when it comes to the firmness of the noodles. It was just perfect! And the soup was so good I finished it all! The oyster pancake with their special sauce was also delicious, but it's a pretty large portion! We also was lucky enough to try their fresh handmade veggie and pork pan fried bun! The owner was incredibly generous and gave us a free bean sprout salad, the bean sprout was cooked but still super crunchy!
We LOVED everything we had! We loved the homie atmosphere that the place has! We can not recommend this place enough if you want to have authentic Taiwanese food and hospitality!
Do yourself a favor by making some extra room in your tummy for this place!

This brand new baby Taiwanese restaurant has the potential to become a five-star gem of Sunset Park.

Here are the top five reasons why:
5. They have really decent oh-ah-jen (oyster pancake). The texture would be acceptable in Taiwan and is unbelievably good for being in the U.S. The vegetables they cooked in it were well-seasoned but light and fresh at the same time. The sauce was just fine. Remember, good oyster pancake is difficult to find in the U.S. because it is really hard to get the same ingredients. For example, oysters. The kind you get in Taiwan are different and cheaper so they load them up in multiple dishes. And actually, the Golden Rich oyster pancake could've used a few more oysters. But I get it. You kept this dish under $7. I'll take it.

4. The beef noodle soup was an A-. Heart-warming broth (not as complex as I prefer, but not bad), tender beef and tendon, and fun frilly noodles which my son called "tape". This is not a beef noodle soup joint, so it's okay that this isn't as spectacular as places that specialize in only beef noodle soup. We still slurped up the noodles and drank every last drop of broth.

3. The overall flavor profile of everything was spot on. We fought each other over the guotie with shrimp (potsticker with shrimp). The suijianbao (water fried bun) was juicy and crispy. The green onion pancake was yummy (note, these are a specific Taiwanese style so they're softer and less flaky than the ones you get from other restaurants).

2. Everything was very affordable. Fed two adults and two children for $33.

1. They were nice here. At a Taiwanese restaurant. I don't know about you, but I've never been to a Taiwanese restaurant without being yelled at by a server for a mistake they made. I usually shrug it off because I know it's not personal, and hey, it reminds me of my family. But here they're really nice. Like shockingly. I'm still trying to process it is how nice they were.

Love this place so much so I need to create the yelp profile for them. It's a newly open restaurant. As a real Taiwanese who lived in Taiwan over 20 years, this restaurant definitely bring me back to my home.

Everything is just on point. The best part is the owner is so friendly and really care about what you think about the food. They want to make sure everyone is happy and value each one's opinion.

I lived in Queens but would definitely come back again for this hidden gem in Brooklyn.

A coworker took a group of us here for a weeknight dinner. Recently opened, it's a nice addition to the 8th avenue stretch. Having never tried true Taiwanese food before, I had no expectations but the menu seemed to be a mix of familiar fare like dumplings and noodle soup. One of our colleagues is true bred Taiwanese though and since she deemed the food we tried legit, I'll take her word for it.

To share, we ordered the Braised Bamboo Shoots, Tofu, Spinach Mackerel Soup, Oyster Omelet, Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup, Scallion Pancake, and Beef Burrito. All of the dishes were flavorful, but I particularly enjoyed the Oyster Omelet and Beef Burrito. The Beef Burrito is essentially slices of beef and seasoning wrapped in flaky dough like the scallion pancake. The Oyster Omelet is huge with big bites of oysters, soft and smothered in this tangy delicious sauce, with enough vegetables to make you feel semi-healthy for eating it.

Their special is their beef noodle soup and I opted to get the version without tendons. I've never had these types of noodles before, long ribbons with squiggly edges. The meat was tender. All in all, it was okay - I've had better noodle soups but this was nice to try.

What makes this place special is that, for lack of a better term, the owners have heart. It's a small place with only a few tables, more conducive for takeout, but the owner came out several times to chat with the patrons, to check in on how we were enjoying the food. The lone waitress was extremely friendly, running back and forth to fulfill all the orders as quickly as possible. They threw in some of the appetizers as freebies and all in all, gave a vibe that they genuinely enjoyed cooking for the customers. Rare to come across such a neighborhood gem these days.

Came back again and ordered the beef burrito, pan fried buns and chicken over rice. Second time around everything was good. The beef burrito is my new favorite, it's the perfect balance of sweet and savory.  The pan fried buns are also delicious, they were 2 for $3. I didn't see it on the menu and since the owners don't speak English that well, I ended up showing them a picture on yelp and they happily placed my order.

Please do yourself a favor and try the Taiwanese chicken over rice! It was a huge portion and the flavors were so perfectly balanced. I also ordered the beef and tendon soup, what really stood out were the type of noodles that they used, they were unlike anything I've ever had before. The restaurant name on the menu is different from the store sign, but go in and try it, you'll definitely thank me.

I am about as Caucasian as you get -- including having blue eyes. My wife, who is from Taiwan, took me here on Christmas Eve afternoon. She really likes this place and eats some very authentic food that I would not -- pig knuckles and stomach lining. However, what I will eat -- and did -- was all very good; wanton noodle soup, spicy dumplings, yam leaves and pickled cabbage. On a prior visit, I had the beef noodle soup and gautier too. The owner of the restaurant is very cherubic and really goes out of the way -- along with other staff -- to make you feel at home. This place is well worth trying for Chinese food off the beaten path. And by the way, my wife really enjoyed the authentic food too!

We ordered the beef and tendon noodle soup, oyster pancake, and beef burrito. Everything was delicious and the beef burrito was my favorite! We are excited this place opened so close to us and can't wait to come back regularly. Highly recommend!
