Reviews:

Signature milk tea - 50% sugar - with tapioca. This is my new go-to order.  The tapioca is so chewy - one of the best i've had.
I've also had their brown sugar dirty milk tea and it's amazing. However, I recently found out brown sugar milk tea is worse for you than regular milk tea! :(
Try to bring cash if you can. They have a 4% surcharge for card users.
Overall, Elitea is truly elite.

This is the best boba I've had in the world - and I've tried them across Asia. The location is hidden away in a Chinatown food court.
1. They use fresh fruit
2. Not too much surgar
3. The boba texture is soft and chewy, and served warm and fresh. (Boba shouldn't be hard)
4. The presentation is beautiful

Good bubble tea! I enjoyed it! I like that they asked for the sweetness level. I usually have 50% sweetness. And it's what I expected-- that it'll be good!
I have been looking for bubble teas here that feels like home (Philippines-- Chingkeetea is the best). So far, this feels closer to home. That's why I am giving 5 stars to Elitea.

After a hearty dim sum lunch, my family and I went in search of bubble tea in Chinatown. Elitea had the best Yelp reviews (and wasn't a chain that we have in Florida). It was confusing at first, but we found it in the downstairs foodcourt at the end of the plaza. The elevator was out of order when we arrived, so my Mom wouldn't join us as it's hard for her to walk downstairs.
They have lots of flavor combinations on their menu. My favorite part is that you can choose your sweetness level, especially as I don't like my teas overly sweet. It didn't take long for our orders to come out, and they were very tasty! The price is right at about $5 each. The drinks are very aesthetic and perfect for your foodie Instagram.
When you find it, Elitea is a worthwhile stop for milk tea in Chicago Chinatown.

So first off, to get to Elitea, you must enter a building then take the stairs down leading to the food court. Elitea has really good milk tea. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea. I loved how the tea was strong because the brown sugar balanced well with the bitterness of the tea. I got half sugar on my tea thinking it's be too sweet but I think next time I'll do the regular amount. The tapioca was cooked perfectly, chewy on the outside and a just a tad bit harder towards the center. I agree the price is kind of expensive, but I think for Chicago, that's the normal cost for bubble tea. Definitely worth a try!

Milk tea is my baseline at boba shops. For milk tea, I check for balance between creaminess and tea flavor. And absence of powder taste. If the milk tea is good, I'll explore the menu more.
I'll be coming back :)

grapefruit green tea iced. enough said. LOL. my friend asked me if i wanted bubbletea and she took me here. parking is a bit rough but once you find it, you go downstairs to this underground store/market place where there's a bunch of restaurants/stores you can grab food at. there wasn't anyone there so we were able to order and go within 5 minutes which was good. the packaging is cute and the tea was absolutely delicious and refreshing which was nice. definitely recommend !

The bubble tea, especially the cheese topping is to die for! I was a little skeptical about the cheese topping, but when it comes in to my mouth, I just can't let the straw go any more.
The brown sugar bubble tea itself is very smooth. I ordered it without sugar and was warned it might be bitter. When I taste it, the bitterness comes from the tea itself, which is the way I like my bubble tea to be. Bubbles are made with brown sugar, so they come with a lovely sweetness to it. The combination just brings you to heaven.
